I think that crossroads was recorded at winterland 1967 with "The Fool" sg. Am I right? Please if somebody know anything about that please comment .
@indieguy814 жыл бұрын
I have always heard that he played the 335 on "Crossroads" but that doesn't mean it's true. I'm sure you can find an interview somewhere of Clapton talking about it.
@williamkiss85174 жыл бұрын
'Crossroads' was The Fool SG indeed. The only time he ever used the 1964 335 in Cream was the 2nd & final set of the farewell concert, at the Royal Albert Hall. He did use it later in the Dirty Mac, Blind Faith and sporadically afterwards. For instance, on the road for one show with Derek & The Dominos supposedly.
@indieguy814 жыл бұрын
@@williamkiss8517 good to know. Thanks for the info!
@williamkiss85174 жыл бұрын
@@indieguy81 No worries. I've been obsessed over this stuff for a long time. Glad I could share this info :). 'Crossroads' from Wheels Of Fire was recorded on 3/10/68 (March) at the Winterland Ballroom, San Fransisco. A search for photographs from this date shows that Clapton only had the SG on stage with him that night, so it can be presumed that he used that on the track. www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/cream-march-9-1968-at-winterland-ballroom-sf.2091405/ This has lots of photos too.
