@@ivanbenkobergera5691 He may play rock music, but Max is definitely a jazz drummer.

@@tomloeper8933 he has said on more than one occasion that he is a rock drummer. He has also played rock all his life. Another thing is that he is a musician who competently plays anything and ... loves jazz. In addition, his great reference was Buddy Rich, so it is normal to see characteristics of jazz, but in rock.
@saulvaquero61775 жыл бұрын
He is first a drummer and a musician (forget about styles and labels). First you must learn to play the instrument (execution technique, reading, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, improvisation, ...) then the repertoire comes, which must include different styles and rhythms (jazz, blues, soul, funk, rock, Afro Latin Grooves, etc), to enrich you, have tools, and ultimately become a versatile musician capable of facing any musical context. Young people who like rock and metal and start playing the drums or any other instrument, do not worry about learning to play the instrument first or to be musicians (a very superior word), they only want to play rock songs and metal, they do not follow a logical progression.

You don't have to be a musician to enjoy this video. Seeing father and son, knowing their journeys and seeing their success is truly amazing. Max seems like an awesome Dad to let his son carve his own way and support him at every step. You can appreciate the fact he doesn't live in his fathers shadow and continues to excel. Any father wants more than anything than to see their boy become something greater than they ever dreamed. My son is still young but i want to be able to back him as he becomes the man he is meant to be. On the other hand, when it comes to music, my daughter is aspiring to be a, in her words, a "metal goddess". Tears of pride, my friends. Tears of pride.
