For those having trouble with the B Major chord, you can play it on the second fret by placing your fingers on A string second fret, G string and B String on 4th fret, and high E open. Then pick A string, G string, B string, High E string, B string, G string. Same sound, much simpler chord. Hope this helps.

Being a newbie in guitar for the past few months, I've always had two songs that I was dying to learn: this song, and Cliffs of Dover. While the latter is a helluva great song, it's too big of a challenge for fresh hands. I decided to go to Always With Me, Always With You as I first heard it on American Dad! last year. That song ended up bringing me a new appreciation of guitar solos and brought me all the way here. I love this song so much, and I'm happy to say that thus far, I'm memorizing well thanks to this amazing tutorial. Thanks so much!

For those trickier chords like the Bmaj add11 and the G.. Just practise a little everyday and you will adapt to it :) .. however, a big consideration is the guitar being used.. Satriani uses Ibanez, which have Wizard III ( If I remember correctly?) necks.. much thinner than most guitars and make these kind of techniques a little easier, take a look at what you're practising with, it may not be designed for these styles of playing

For the first part, put your index finger on the 7th fret of the low E string, your ring finger on the 9th fret of the D string, your middle finger on the 8th fret of the G string and play the high E open and pick those strings. That is much easier to play than the B major chord shown in the lesson. Hope it helps.

I don't want to be THAT guy but at 8:20, that chord is actually F#7sus4. Also, it is WAY easier to play that first Bmaj chord as a simple B (X-2-4-4-4-x) and then just do a Bsus4 (X-2-4-4-5-x) when the e note is needed. I'm lazy.

I play a bit different way that is (my sense) much easiert : for the 6 first notes i play : 2nd chord + second fret / 4th chord + 4th fret / 5th chord + 4th fret / 6 chord + no fret. So i keep my hand alive :-)

It would be so much better when referring to a note telling the name of the note instead of fret position. E.g. ‘put the second on the B of the low E-string’ etc. Instead of put the second finger on the 7th fret, etc. That way we automatically learn the note names on the fretboard
