This shows once again what a great teacher you are. You target the core of what's needed, without much bla bla and the exerciss / examples are very musical. Thanks for sharing your gift!

So many jazz teachers approach this kind of "chord theory" in a very piano-ish/written music way. Im very grateful that you come at it from a guitar specific point of view! The "academic" side of jazz is intimadating and you remove that fear!

“You don’t have to play the entire chord” = Sage advice!🙌 Rootless triads and dyads are wonderful😁… Simplifying jazz clearly and conversationally! Great presentation, Sandra!

Thanks so much, Barry! As I always say, who needs roots? What do I pay the bass player for 😁

Never heard them called dyads before, will totally use that term now

I love your approach of going thru the scale, having a chord for each scale tone. Makes so much sense. Thank you - you're es best!

Thank you Sandra, what a fantastic lesson and approach!!! I tried this on your arrangement of Autumn Leaves and it opened up a world of possibilities. I started chord melody with you a few years back and your method is still my go to, I can’t wait to explore this further 🥰

Oh, new video style? 🤩 Cool. Great lesson. I love finding new applications for extensions. That's a great point you made about the 'avoid' note but playing it in the lower register blends it. You also seem particularly energised today even more than usual, which you always are. 🤗 Still loving your work, my friend. 💙
