In this video, I am going to give you an honest review of the Gulikit KK3 Controller and explain why, personally, I won't be adding it to my gaming collection. If you're considering purchasing this controller, make sure to watch till the end to understand my reasons. When it comes to controllers, I believe it's crucial to find one that perfectly matches your gaming preferences. While the Gulikit KK3 has some intriguing features, it falls short in a few areas that are essential to me. Throughout this review, I'll discuss its build quality, ergonomics, performance, and ease of use.

Loved the KK2 so I bought the KK3 Max. You don't need to have the paddle on the controller. I don't have them on mine because you can't actually set them up properly in games on PC. Especially because it only shows up on Steam as an Xbox 360 controller. It needs it's own software, firmware and drivers so it shows up as its own device. Also they responded to his video about the mechanical buttons when I bought it, it never said mechanical button so they didn't lie to me as a consumer with that. They did however lie about the back paddle functionality. I got used to back paddles and different bindings with my Steam deck and that was the main reason I bought the controller (well that and the hall effect thumbs and trigger) and the things are useless.

When you have the triggers in the analog function do they actuate quicker? That will be the deciding thing for me i have an xbox but im pretty sure even if it doesnt work i can buy an adaptor
@NoSpamForYou
@NoSpamForYou 5 ай бұрын
Not sure but I think adapters that use an official controller to pass security check still work. Just put one of your many broken Xbox controllers on the adapter if that is the case. Really adds to the price of using a 3rd party controller though (and that is why they tried to block them, so more people will just pay $180 for their shitty Elite controller that breaks in a few months).

Watch Gamers Heaven vid on this controller he gives u just as much info and more... Yes they actuate quicker and mine doesn't take as long to actuate but there is still a bit of travel compared to other controllers that have this function. That being said, The KK3 is the best bang for your buck cuz most other controllers with back paddles and trigger adjustment cost way more than these bad boys and these have one of the best hall effect Sticks. I love using this controller and I have many other ones. Btw: I believe it works with Xbox cuz it reads as an Xbox controller on my Pc and the even with the ban all 3rd party controllers that worked on Xbox still do. Gamers Heaven has a vid on this too.

Awesome review im glad to hear from someone that give honest reviews and isnt afraid to say what they dont like about it. That said, Im still going to try it out personally i like the kk2 i bought it as soon as it came out. I did have some problems with mine after the warranty ended, but they still sent me replacement pieces so i could fix it myself for free. The back buttons i actually like having the option to change them out or even leave them off when playing a game that doesnt need them and the membrane buttons dont bother me at all though i wish they had told the truth about it from the get go. If another manufacturer had hall effects sticks and all the bells and wistles this one had id probably buy it, but since they dont ill stick with gulikit for now.

Hey man I picked this gamepad up around a month ago and quite enjoyed it especially the hall effect sensors since I've had stick drift on my last 7 ps controllers. Unfortunately I had to send it back 2 days ago because the top back button started sticking, I dont find the paddles very comfortable but just use the switch types instead but yeah the left side started sticking so I sent it back. Maybe I'm stupid but decided to give it another chance and got another one but wasn't sure what to go with for around a similar price. I need something with back buttons now since I started getting used to this and also hall effect sensors, the flydigi pro 3 might be the one then?

I'm very surprised you would not recommend a controller based on a D pad no one hardly uses and face buttons that they did, at first, lie about. They still work great and feel better than elite S2 imo with a smoother press. Price is GREAT compared to xbox S2 and has 1000hz polling rate vs like 125hz for xbox (This is probably the biggest thing for me). Super smooth game play, amazing joysticks and overall this controller feels great in hand and maybe like half the weight of a S2. Paddles feel fine to me but I understand not everyone's hands are the same shape. This is the best controller I have ever had personally by a mile. If someone uses a D-pad tons I understand they may feel this controller is not for them but I very rarely even use a D-pad. If someone bought this when they thought they were getting mechanical keys I get it and dislike that shadyness for sure but these buttons feel better than S2 to me and I enjoyed putting the xbox face ones on. I think if this thing lasts and is durable there is a case to be made it has made the S2 obsolete.

I dont have this controller yet but considering it and his "dealbreakers" are stuff I dont care about. Dont care about back paddles, d-pad while better dpad is nice but not requirement unless playing a lot of games that require good dpad like fighting games or 2d games. I already have 8bitdo pro 2 which has the best dpad and use it for fighting games and 2d games while for most other games I want controller that is more similiar to xbox where dpad doesnt matter as much. I game both on switch and pc so I want a controller that I can use for both and conveniently switch between them without having to sync it everytime or using a different controller for each one and also not risking stick drift.

If the vader Pro had gulikit's sticks where the springs dont wear out as fast and the 1000hz polling rate, I'd totally buy it in a heartbeat! It feels like every new controller on the market right now is so close to being perfect, but then they do something stupid, which leaves the customers feeling scammed. 8bitdo, flydigy, gulikit, and gamesir are all so close to hitting the mark, but they just miss out on a few important features!

After the debunking and all the criticism I bet gulikit is gonna make a revision of this controller in the next 4-6 months and probably call it the kk3 pro max. That one MAY be worth it but this one isnt. BTW I would LOVE for the C and Z buttons on the vader 3 to be positioned up following the line of the action buttons, kinda like the old gamepads for 360 and ps3 for fighting games .

It bothers me that you try to talk fast in turn mumbling your speech from time to time which makes me want to watch other informative videos rather then this one. I'm not trying to be rude just making a suggestion that you slow down even though it might make the video a little longer, Maybe you can try and edit more scenes out in post production if it gets too long. Edit: I'm glad you mentioned Gamers Heaven cuz I wrote my comment 👆b4 that part of the vid and was thinking that you had the same opinions as him except he liked/recommends it even with all the cons since it's only $80 compared to other "pro" controllers. I'm glad you mention his vid cuz I was thinking that you just copied his vid but obviously you're just influenced by him cuz it is hard to forget something you know and that's why a lot of Creators try not to watch other channels until after they make thier vid first.

Gyro is a absolute game changer for any game that requires aiming. You are doing yourself a huge disservice by not looking into gyro aiming. It is not a gimmick, it is not for accessibility, it is straight up the best method for aiming on a controller as any gyro user can tell you. It does require a lot of setting up and some time to get used to, but it is absolutely worth the effort. Also as a side note, a high polling rate is necessary for good gyro since gyro is basically a mouse.

It is so wrong to say hall effect sticks will not develop stick drift. That is only reciting their marketing claims without thinking critically about it. Hall effect sticks DO develop sticks drift, because that depends only on the springs, which are exactly the same of that on "regular" controllers. What hall effect sticks are an improvement is that they will not degrade and make wrong direction registering because of the wear and tear of the capacitive disk, as they do not have that capacitive disk.
@PughsReview
@PughsReview 5 ай бұрын
Yeppers, exactly what u said in the video I believe that the hardware will go out depending on the sticks some are worse than others, and Flydigi sticks are known for the springs going bad.

@@PughsReview As the hall effect sticks are based on electronics, not physical contact to the capacitive surface, with good support, the hall effect sticks can be recalibrated to the "new" center. I think it is a good controller but not as good as it can be. While the face button is a lie, which obviously not cool, but I can live with that. What annoys me the most is the trigger. It actually felt worse vs KK2 in analog mode. What I mean by worse is that it felt a bit mushy. Also for some reason they didn't fix the trigger dead zone. I have multiple controller and only Gulikit controller have this problem (KK2 and now KK3). The trigger stop also not as good as in the gulikit ads. There is too much travel. Having said that, apparently there is a version that has less travel but unfortunately mine doesn't. These trigger problems can be easily fixed or you can mod it yourself, but they shouldn't expect people to mod the controller. Other than that, I'm fine with everything else. Dpad is dpad, some prefer this kind of dpad, other doesn't. I really like the back button tho. While most people like the dome, I actually prefer the lever. Basically I will take this back button config over Vader 3 pro back button. While the face button is a lie, I actually prefer it over an actual mechanical switches mainly because I don't trust how micro switches and these mouse switches works mechanically since for some reason it wears out quickly even for a switch rated at 50m clicks. That is why I won't buy mouse without at least optical switches for the main buttons (left and right click). Hopefully there will be a controller with optical switches.
