When I was a kid you could watch the news and find out about local and world events. The facts were given and at the end they may say that they have an opinion and state it was an option then give said option. Now it is all selective information and option only. Free thinking about a subject is no longer an option how one is to think is being programed into people and they eat it up.

Your comments about having a civil conversation with someone you disagree with really hit home. My dad was a true conservative and my uncle Art was as liberal as they come. Whenever we'd visit they'd sit for hours talking politics and totally disagreeing with other. Never once did they raise their voices or get angry. They didn't agree but they could talk and still respect each other. What I see now sickens me.

Our company has suspended its video plans because of KZbin's (YT) wondering policies. Although we are a security company with the best of intentions, and we employ Armed Security Personnel, we would often present firearms in our videos. Because of that we would risk YT suspending our account and that would look negative upon us. Until one gets 100k subs one's channel can be cancelled by YT without recourse of appeal. Although, we will be re-evaluating our stance soon. Still, it is doubtful our views of YT will change from it negative view.

Not sure, but potentially Vimeo is an alternative site. I don't know what their policies are, but I do know several YT creators have shifted their video platform over to Vimeo.

Hey guys. Been a fan and gun enthusiast for a number of years now and have an idea that could be interesting for everyone to see: you could shoot a few different common caliber/length barrel handguns and push the range on them as far as you can go and also see how far they are lethal. I think it would really surprise a lot of people and be really interesting to see a hit at 300 yards or something with an m92 for example!

Part of the problem is they no longer use “debate” as a key component in journalism. As we never knew what side of an issue we would have to defend, we would study both side of a topic in depth, thus giving us a fair and balanced view. All stories should be researched as if for a debate.

Writing as a Communications Consultant and having degrees in Communications, and concerning the media. Specifically, journalism has always been full of bias, editors' points of view, and all mediums of journalism (i.e., cable/TV, magazines, radio, social media, newspapers) are guilty of "Framing" issues; yes it's an actual concept. This has existed forever, only some more than others. What makes it seem worse nowadays, is the amount of information at our fingertips. For example, years ago a small community had a weekly paper, today on a Facebook page there's something daily and so on. On a personal note, and IMO there's no such thing as objective news I know of the concept, but ask yourself if YOU (a person) can truly be opinion free. Yes, one can leave out their opinion, but how one frames an issue will tell the tell:)
