After recently watching a Cocker Championship video, I came across a particular scenario that I thought would be good to train two year old cocker spaniel Twig to manage…another really useful “Practical Gundog Training” tip!

For Twig to do this so well is a credit to her breeding and more so to your thoughtful training. Good work😀

Twig is really coming along. If you ever get short of ideas, I'd love to see you bring up a pup that isn't the strongest of genetics and see how you would correct issues for some of us without top bloodline pups.

Thanks for your message. I have a few clients with dogs that would probably fit in this category, in truth the methods shouldn’t be any different . Good genetics will always help but I am a great believer in “nurture over nature” Twig’s siblings are all different, some have more drive some less so…I truly believe that you can influence your dogs working ability by their training as much as its DNA. Cheers Nick
