Nice to see another danish ration review! A nice little bit of advice that was given to me when I was in, during the summer time don't bother with hot cocoa, mix it into your musli with cold water! It is like eating candy :-)

I like that you've broken out the snack. They're generally going into pockets to help fill in the day and to see the full range in one go is useful. 👍

13:51 danes use those as the rye bread to put cheese,jam or butter on (delisious) TMK - its actually a swedish invention called Wasa Bread by the danes
@hisheighnessthesupremebeing5 жыл бұрын
Nope.. what is shown @13:51 is definitively not what would be classified as a knäckebröd/knækbrød or Wasa bread by the Danes

Seems pretty similar in some ways to the British ORP. Wish the ORP's came with chocolate. Which would you prefer between the UK and Danish ones?
@gundog43148 жыл бұрын
It's sort of a toss up with Western European stuff as they share so many common items. I just happen to have another ORP review in the works. Cheers
@BTemple8 жыл бұрын
Just got a Menu #11 ORP from SCOTSMAN 1984 a little while ago, seems great, just haven't gotten to try it yet, still plugging through some 2014 Menu B MRE's and Canadian IMP's first.

I've always been amazed at how often the Bridgford stuff pops up in Europe. Someone at that company must have the magic marketing touch or something...or maybe they just wholesale em ultra-cheap.

Does cans of fermented fish (Surströmming) turn up in Danish MREs Just wondering.
@whiteedk8 жыл бұрын
DAVID GREGORY KERR surstromning is Swedish, we don't eat it here in Denmark. But we eat pickled herring for lunch on rye bread. I don't know if it's in any rations though
@whiteedk8 жыл бұрын
DAVID GREGORY KERR but we eat canned tuna and canned mackerel in tomato sauce more on everyday basis
@karlp84848 жыл бұрын
+ Stine, Herrings are like a staple in Denmark (and Northern Germany), it's a pity they couldn't have worked that into the ration somehow. Pickled or in tomato sauce it's indestructible as well.
@hisheighnessthesupremebeing5 жыл бұрын
Hell no... If that toxic waste ever were to find its way into the Danish army, it would be as a biodegradable green alternative to the chemical/biological warfare agents that are illegal in accordance with the Geneva convention... then again I believe that Surströmming is on the Geneva convention blacklist .

In regards to the toothbrush; The "toothpaste" is already in the bristles. You just need to dip the toothbrush in water to "activate", and start brushing.

noticed there was no creamer, and your right, that is definitely a better package than the U.S. uses!! with the pate', you'd expect that you'd get at least another pack of biscuits if not two? the looks of that toothbrush, I think you'd be better off getting your own and using that one for your weapon!!!

Hey gundog! I was just wondering why you disabled voting. As a countermeasure against the upcoming presidential election? Haha, cheers.
@gundog43148 жыл бұрын
I get that question A LOT. They do in fact work, click them they turn blue. I can see the point if you got paid a dollar for each thumbs up but it doesn't work like that. If I had a gaming channel and put vids out daily I'd be all over it since the immediate feedback is necessary to see what my audience wants. The Ration niche is different, you can only show "whats in the bag" and only of whatever ration you have on hand and sometimes it's over a period of days, weeks and even months for some reviews. Anyhoo, It's just my two cents. Cheers

I think you guys just need more variety. I mean adding new mains is fine but if the accessories with each meal were different too that would help a lot. My brother used to call MREs "Forrest Gumps" cause you never knew what you your going to get. Cheers

Gundog, what is most shocking for me is the fact that the EPAs are nearly identical to the ones I had 27yrs ago. Yes, the mains are different. But alone the fact that there are still the same crack... well, armor plates, in there makes me sad.
