Nice footage! You really feel the speed on this one! 😃 It’s difficult for me to try and figure out what foil to choose for the free fly slalom. You need a fast for for sure, but to small you will struggle in the free fly. What setup did you end up with, and why did you choose that setup? Thanks. And epic shot when you just went rocket mode and made the commentators go nuts 😂😂😂

Hi Benjamin, In the beginning I was on my Mikes Lab 700 Foil, as I thought I needed it for the pumping leg. But it was just a bit to slow to get ahead of the fleet after the start (most of the good guys are on Chubanga V3 570cm2). So in the end I was on my ML540 Foil which is fast out of the gate and is super stable at speed. It was just enough to pump the legs if I did not make a mistake and touch down.

Hi Great video, you look very fast, what sort of speed can you reach with that gear? What's your thoughts on when to stop using a board leash? Regards.

Top speed on that foil is around 30 knots for me. Regarding the leash. I believe unless you are a total beginner or in waves, you should learn to bodydrag and ditch the leash. If you do not know how to do that yet, watch this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGWbi4SNh9KNrbs
