Making mistakes with scribing has kept me from customizing a lot of my kits. I'm more willing to try it again if I know how to fix my mistakes. Thanks for the video!

I scribed all the panels on this kit I had of a jet and honestly the thing is a mess so this is pretty helpful. I'll have to go back and clean it up thanks :)

No problem, glad it's been helpful. I do have some scribing videos if you're interested. Maybe they'll be useful too

dope video my guy! Which viscosity is better for scribing mistakes: Higher Viscosity CA or something more thinner/liquid-like?
@fpsdr0p82 жыл бұрын
hey I would love if you could do a video on how you scribe symmetrical panel lines. I feel like thats the one area where I def need improvement on

Sure thing man. I'll get to it when I have the time :D

Any tips for deburring scribed panel lines? I know sandpaper works but if there is something that won't remove material I would be grateful to learn!
@GunplaNewbie Жыл бұрын
You'll need a fine grit and just lightly sand the surface.

The black CA glues seem to have rubber in them to be softer, is this something you've noticed a difference in when it comes to these types of repair?
@GunplaNewbie2 жыл бұрын
I didn't notice them for being softer. Actually, I noticed them being rock solid once they're fully dried. Perhaps during the drying stage they can be a bit soft maybe that's the rubber?
@ficklampa2 жыл бұрын
@@GunplaNewbie That is good to hear - then again it might be different depending on the brand. Not sure all of them actually have rubber inside, but the ones I've seen mention it since they are marketed as more flexible compared to regular CA. 🤔
@GunplaNewbie2 жыл бұрын
Hmm I'll keep that in mind and be on the lookout. I haven't noticed any difference between brands.

The black CA glue?
@JokerXtremeCyclone2 жыл бұрын
I tried using UV resin, but the material isn't good as black glue 😅
@GunplaNewbie2 жыл бұрын
Stuff that hardens with a mini UV torch light? I think the black CA glue is the best so far.

@@GunplaNewbie yep.. i regret after i bought it
@GunplaNewbie2 жыл бұрын
Ah damn... Would they harden without the UV ? I've had a few bottles of CA glue just turned in to a rock during delivery... And another one in my drawer. Now I keep them in the fridge and they stay 'fresh' lol
@JokerXtremeCyclone2 жыл бұрын
@@GunplaNewbie im not sure 😅 so far it willl not harden yet because i just seal the lid.. i think i will just buy the black glue just for filling the hole and scribing mistakes 😂
@GunplaNewbie2 жыл бұрын
Better check the moment you received it. Mine was already hardened when I got it. Had to return it.
