Love the verses “Don’t YOU need some time on your own?” Then after the solo it’s “Sometimes I need some time on my own” Very subtle lyric changes on a verse that sounds the same. Estranged by Guns N Roses does this well too. Great song to check out

There's a lot of beautiful and meaningful rock ballads out there from that time period. Skid Row, Motley Crue, Cinderella, etc all have some excellent ones. One of my favorite from recent years is from the band Falling In Reverse named "The drug in me is reimagined". The sound and vocals straight give you chills.
