In Gunsai weight and cornering capability is more important than power, as that Revolution 86 with the least power clocks the fastest section time.

Loved seeing the C7 on the track. The outcome was pretty easy to predict, and a shame it wasn't a manual, but I get a kick out of seeing the boys react to something different.

Yeah, but the one thing they got wrong was that the Viper ACR was faster around the Nordschleife than the C7 by 12 seconds

@@joshsuelto It is a production car. Though the C7ZR1 has been taking it on other road courses. GM never had a good opportunity to run the ZR1 at the Ring in ideal conditions, there's articles about why it never happened or the opportunities they had were gimped.

I love when they drive big ol merican V8s in the mountains of Japan. These cars don’t perform well in those very tight and twisty courses, so lightweight 4 banger cars are your best bet.
Damn, the smallest in power and yet did much better than the 300 ones. Mad respect to Tsuchiya

The 'vette would do a lot better if it was on a track with more straights (they mentioned Fuji). In addition it needs to be in a manual transmission, that automatic seemed clunky.

@@justinchou2033 nah the vette just needs better tires, and no one besides a few corvette racing team drivers can handle the track mode. You need to put it in sport mode.

The z06 or zr1 Manual would be more comparable to the gtr nismo's class. The auto in the corvette is terrible, plus it's not even in the same realm as a dct from the gtr. Awesome video!!

I love the corvette, I hope that they try out the C8. But some of these comments are embarrassing. The tracks are not optimal for the Vette, it excels in tracks with high speed corners like the Nürburgring. And I saw a comment saying that Orido wasn't pushing it and timestamped the moment when Orido tapped out of the race for the BMW and GTR to duke it out. It was the same story of the track being too small to pass on the corners and Orido staying in front on the straights. It's not scripted, in another video you see them loving the Z51.
