@codyschrecengost1975 жыл бұрын
Don Palanqueto that’s another thing I would recommend. Get new electronics for sure. I upgraded the pots and switches on mine as well as put Seymour Duncan pickups in. I never actually used the kit pickups so I’m not sure what quality they are. I went into my build with a plan in my head of how I wanted it to look and what I wanted in it. And white Seymour Duncan’s were always on my shopping list. That’s what I mean when I say take your time and do your research. You’re basically making your own signature model guitar. Question for you. The Rickenbacker 325 guitar was what John Lennon used in the early Beatles music. Trying to get one either requires a lot of money or getting what’s been called a Chinese Rickenbacker or Chickenbacker. The Chinese version I have heard on KZbin seems to have a various attempts of quality. So my evil thought for you is this. Have you ever thought about doing a clone of a 325 by using a Stratocaster body, Rickenbacker pickups, and a short scale neck using Pyramid Strings. Plus also doing the same wiring as the original one had. That would give those who would like to have similar to a Rickenbacker scale wise and possibly similar tone due to the Toaster pickups. It would be very unique guitar too. :) Love your videos and would love to see you do a gun video using an m1 carbine to test.

From all the build u've done (watch a lot of your guitar build) this one is the best and beast ! Love it man, since i'm looking for a LP shape guitar

I would've loved to see his result without the splats and a good gloss coat; what's wrong with a beautiful guitar!? That said, I couldn't achieve as good of a result as he does here. Nicely done.

Talking about that. Do you know if regular automotive lacquer can be used over the dye he applied? I gotta say I liked the method he used but some gloss would've been great

Cesar Alejandro Barragan Hernandez I don’t know. I would imagine with a non natural color guitar, yellowing isn’t desirable (some people like the look of it as a natural wood guitar ages). So I’d go with a two part clear coat and something specifically that cures with some ductility/elasticity (to stretch with humidity changes in the wood). There are lots of different formulations of two part clear coat that fit that bill. As for whether or not there’s a single stage lacquer that is as UV resistant as two part clear and also flexible... I don’t know. Maybe?

That guitar looks more like a Jackson Monarkh than a Gibson Les Paul.

I believe is modeled from an ESP Eclipse but with the knob layout of a les paul. Good looking still.

Video should be called "Build your DREAM Les Paul for LESS than $300 if you already have all the tools necessary to build the guitar!!!"

When you look at a diy video for a desk or project like that the titles are the same. They’re assuming you have tools of course.

Did you expect to build a guitar with a hand saw and a hammer?

kill switches, like pinch harmonics, used sparingly adds novelty. his kill switch usage quickly had gone to overkill switch🤣

Cool build. Reminds me of the Epi Les Paul Black Beauty I modded somewhat like this. I put a Pearly Gates in the neck and a JB in the bridge. It had the four knobs on the bottom and I changed out the two tone knobs for push-pull pots to split each of the humbuckers to single coil. Man, I wish I still had that guitar. It had to be one of the nicest I ever had.

That was just about the coolest video I have seen in a long time! That thing came out awesome!! Love that color, and the original wiring job. And yeah, he had all kinds of fun with that kill switch. I admit I would have too!
