I don't know if there is currently any guitarist so diverse and well-rounded, mastering so many styles, as Guthrie. If there is, I'm not aware of them. What a pleasure to watch and listen to... and this from a guitarist who has played professionally most of my life. NEVER get tired of Guthrie! Long, long life to Mr. Govan.

Guthrie's loving this and he is intensely listening to everyone. You can see him reaching out to each individual player by his body language. Such an unselfish musician and humble human being. The man's a genius in the true sense of the word and never ceases to amaze me. As the saying goes, your only as good as the people around you and they certainly are competent musicians with a tight sound that brought out the best in Guthrie. Thanks for the vid.

For Guthrie it’s being on the stage, playing different music, communicating, living experiences with other players, he’s never been a ‘KZbin’ player, probably never will be.

This is a song written by Pat Metheny. The name evades me at the moment. From one of those Metheny Group albums from the late 80s or early 90s.
