@@teethcoat4274 on that I think the reason these vids are that much more impactful is the VR element. These goofy personas that are in the game are such drastic contrasts with the painful highly emotional experiences that real life people cope with every day. These VR Chats are the most honest and touching conversations ever. I feel so sad for this man losing the girl he loved so deeply. And now he is afraid of getting too close to another girl. Life can be so difficult sometimes. Not gonna lie, I kinda choked up. I was married and divorced by 24. It was a short and brutal marriage. No kids thank God. It took me 15 years to find the courage to try again. My second wife and I will be married 30 years coming up in March. I am 67 now. I loved her when we got married, but I love her more now. She would do anything for me, and I would do anything for her. She is simply the love of my life. We have two wonderful grown sons that are still close to us. We have a comfortable home and enough saved for a good retirement. I have never been this happy in my entire life. Honestly, when I was young, I thought I would never have anything. The way he talks and how softly he spoke of her really got to me. I wish I could give him a hug, tell him it’s okay, but knowing the fact that I haven’t dealt with something as painful as that, saying ‘it’s alright’ won’t change anything. It’s so sad. I cried, as I know many others did too. I can’t say I “understand his pain” because a loved one of mine died or anything, because I know when you have someone that you love and they’re just ripped away, that’s nothing compared to losing a grandparent or something. I wanna say that if he does happen to read this, I’m extremely sorry for your pain. Knowing you loved her so much, knowing the fact that you thought she could have been the one and now you have no idea weather or not to open up to anyone else, it’s painful. I cannot say anything like “I understand your pain”, because truly, I’m only 17. Although yes I’ve had relationships, I’m not out there having someone ripped out from my grasp due to death. I’m happy syrmor listens to these people, letting them vent and having some thread of light shine through. It truly is kind of you to listen to their stories and to lighten the weight a little.

Videos like this have immense cultural value. Seriously, this is like one of those shows where they just go and pick someone and get their story, and the thing is, everybody has a story to tell. Everybody. We might have a facade when people talk to us that convinces them, you know, that we aren't a complicated person, that we're not going through something, that we've never been through anything, like, and we put this mask on so much that sometimes we ourselves forget what's under it. We convince ourselves that we don't have a story like this. But we do. Everyone does. I wish I had the time and the means to get everyone on VR chat, pull them aside one by one, and get them comfortable enough to just spill their guts like this guy did to a couple of total strangers. There are so many stories that aren't being told. On there, we wear virtual masks, so it's okay to take off the masks on our soul.
