Obligation of being aware of location is on the visitor to the land. Also, imagine the response to an urban land owner if a person is roaming their land with a firearm…!

Know a farmer between paeroa and thames who discovered one of his beef animals shot. With only one back steak cut out of it.. left the rest to rot.. seen the pictures myself.. it is becoming more prevalent

..if you're a farmer, who comes across a couple of armed men at the back of the farm, you can do bugger all except quietly put some distance between yourself and the intruders..
