That machine is slick! Excellent engineering into this design. Wish the gym I work out at had this!

Great machine. Only thing missing is actually a chest pad when performing it for chest. It will offer additional support thus isolation for the movement and promote better chest position (as the subject will try to push/touch their chest to the pad, thus promote better posture and no hunching). Maybe just maybe an additional heel bar to hold the feet down and not just the knees (because again in very large weights, the hips will be in extreme pressure even with the knee held in place by the pad). I don't know if I'm explaining it in a good manner but these are my points. Have a great day.

So do I face opposite of the machine if I want to focus on tris, and face towards the machine to focus on chest?

Certainly that is a good way. However, we often see people face opposite way on many machines because of preference. It really is personal preference. Sometimes do a set one way then change for the next set.
