Awesome channel and inspirational videos. My only suggestion is to add a "newbies don't try it at home" for handstands on parallels. If you don't have an excellent balance you will fall from an elevated position on a random angle. Indeed, to prevent falling on your back , you will probably do a twist and eventually fall somewhere on your side. This was unknown to me until I ended up falling on the wardrobe which was on the side (and almost broke a leg). I just recalled this fact when I saw the wardrobe on your side too! (min 2:00).
@sidpaulson16 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I believe that is just common sense. Otherwise I would have warn people about pretty much all exercises in all videos. Thanks for the suggestion though!👍

Really solid tutorials! Brilliant form on your exercises. Handstands are the exercises I enjoy most at home. Learning to improve them all the time though. Nowhere near yours as can't do press handstands yet.

I wanna know what muscle/muscle group is worked in each of these exercises. Some I don’t fully understand. And also what to do for certain advanced exercises such as the V Sit exercises and the pike press to handstand?
@sidpaulson15 жыл бұрын
You rarely isolate muscle groups with these bodyweight exercises. This is simply a demonstration how one of my workouts might look! :)
@Primape925 жыл бұрын
Bodyweight Mastery so what would your weekly program look like? If you were training specifically for strength at home? If you could make a vid on that with details on how to separate each daily workout (i.e. upper body day, lower body day or pull day, push day, etc), progressions for each exercise. Strictly calisthenics. That’s what I’m looking for? Please and thank you.

Awesome video! My favorite is working on flexibility. I've made a lot of progress on my front split and bridge but middle split has been toughest for me. What do you do to get such a strong toe point?
@sidpaulson17 жыл бұрын
+Justin Thanks Justin. Flexibility is great to do at home. I used to do 2 stretching routines per day, 30 minutes at home in the morning, then 30 minutes after my workout in the evening. The middle split can be challenging. I will do a video on middle split exercises soon!😊 Stretching them a lot, and spend time “standing” on them. I will try to figure out some exercises for that too!

Hey Sid about the reverse plank, how is it done properly, depressed or elevated shoulders. Also what is the point of this exercise? Not a lot of non gymnast people do it.
@sidpaulson17 жыл бұрын
I believe they should be retracted and depressed. It’s to strengthen your upper back and rear delts, preparation for Manna,V-sit and such :)

I hate people who make impossible exercises look easy. And NO ONE (human) has the flexibility to lie face down on the floor and move a stick from butt to front. So, it is obvious that the ALIENS ARE AMONG US since no human can do such things. I've been using a pair of high push-up bars to do V's. When I was in high school (over 50 years ago) I worked the parallel bars. Now, I can't get my butt over my head. But, it's a goal worth working for. Funny how years of weightlifting misses exercising so many muscles. You don't realize until you start to do some gymnastics, pilates, yoga, calisthenics exercises. Squats did NOTHING for my legs as I found out when I started running and biking.
