No. the main progressions, rows, raises and negatives are much better. This exercise serves the purposes that Adam says in the video.

You have to be small to do this, if you are big dude forget it lol. That would be impressive though if 300lb guy could do this

I'm not sure since I haven't tried it but I guess a lot of forearms, lats, core, tríceps, some biceps too.

The heaviest guy doing a crucifix at rings was Bert Asirati, a British wrestler, at 136kg. He also did one hand handstands pushups. I don't know about more advance skills.

No, but we can learn from gymnasts a lot and use bodyweight to increase muscle mass and strength, prime the joints etc. Remember Serghei Reding, the Belgian weightlifting extraordinaire, who started as a gymnast and kept gymnastic drills at high esteem in his weightlifting career.

So master the front lever first then? Awesome. And in order to master the front lever, I gotta train the dragon flag. I have a long way to go.

Ice cream maker is maybe 20% of front lever, it way easier and absolute usless. Dragon flag is also one of the biggest waste of time. Go for tucked front lever pull ups and raises, and do the front lever progression according to your level.

@@diego432hz Always depends on the goals of one. Those exercises are not per se useless, but if he wants to achieve the front lever he is going to waste his time/energy doing those.
