This story needs to be a movie. One thing that really caught my attention is how this car club had morals and values and separated themselves from the gang life. We need more of that, most car clubs now are rebellious and pretty much dangerous to them self and to others acting foolish and making the car club more of a gang then a genuine lifestyle of morals ethics and standards. ORALE! Keep up the good work
@genefogarty53952 жыл бұрын
Morals and values? The only reason the Jesse had to build the '64 is that a rival club destroyed his first Walt Prey, rose muraled '63 because it always came in first at shows and they were jealous. Some set of morals, ethics and standards, lol.

I love low riders!!! I always admired the creativity and the originality of the low rider cars. I'm not a low riders, but I grew up seeing a lot of low riders in my neighborhood. I love the fact that they stay true to their culture and tradition and their passions for cars. They are like a close knit family. I admire that their culture and tradition continue on for many years. Low riders will never die!

Luckily for me, my wife knows about my love of cars, she did not say anything about my 7 year restoration on my ' 64 Corvette, so she just let me spend lots of time looking at Gypsy Rose.

This my fave sort of youtube rabbit hole to go down. Love my cars, bikes, trucks, the road the smell of burnt gasoline from a pack of harleys in front of me you name it! I live for the road it is what I do and love. And the low rider scene is so cool. Love the cheap effort of just loading the trunk or boot up depending where you are from to hit them bump stops for the aesthetic gains.

It took me a second to realize who/what Gypsy Rose was when I saw the title on my recommended videos and then it hit me... Gypsy Rose... the cover car of Lowrider Magazine from I think it was 1992... holy crap I was 16 when I first saw those pictures of this car in LRM in 92 and I prob haven't seen it since then... takes me back just seeing this beautiful machine. Great little piece here, no clue why YT recommended it to me but I am so glad I decided to click on it. I learned a lot abut this car, it sure does have an illustrious past. Bravo. edit: Though I am no longer into the Lowrider movement or style of cars I do still have an infatuation and major LOVE of automobiles and have owned a 25th anniversary Firebird Trans Am (with 60k original miles now) for the last 27 years.

I grew up around lowriders and lowrider bikes and cruise nights were the good years now a days nobody cruises. Car clubs rarely do much. Maybe its where I live I guess. For a while here in Oahu Hawaii had all the Lowrider bike clubs that would ride through the island every Friday night and cruise the strips and then that stopped.

I've watched this video more then a dozen times at least. At 50 years old I like many others remember seeing the Gypsy Rose on the opening credits of Chico and the man. I would also submit that I'm African-American and that shouldn't matter and in my mind it doesn't. Nevertheless I had the great pleasure of meeting Mr.Jesse Valadez.Sr (RIP),and his Jesse.Jr/III,at Long Beach veteran stadium. I would later have the pleasure of seeing Jesse,Jr at the Los Angeles convention center with Gyosy Rose on display. This was just two years prior to this posting. Very kind family and in closing may the Lords Grace be upon the family of Mr.Jesse Valadez.Sr
