@@crusty_ladybugsHow is this on topic to the comment above? But also, whips aren’t abuse, IF YOU MAKE IT ABUSE it is, say you have an EXTREMELY lazy horse, you need a whip, using your legs the whole time might not help and every single time your legs will feel like their broken, just chill out please.

@@crusty_ladybugs She didn’t even use the whip first of all! Whips are not abuse if you use them the right way. You don’t whip the horse. I don’t even know why they call them whips. They are just used as motivation to make cues more clear to the horses. If it hurts the horse they are being used wrong. She was just using it for her costume anyway

Hilarious ! At 70+ yrs.old , I've given many decades worth of riding lessons & as a " local pro " thoroughly enjoyed the challenges yet great rewards of beginning riders . Some went on to ride only once a year at church camp , some enjoyed local trails , others went on to show high levels - great riders all ! 🥰 However , my most memorable student ... well ... she arrived for her first western lesson looking like a Ralph Lauren ad , complete w/ designer scarf , fashion " paddock " boots , gold hoop earrings , etc. ! She could not / would not comprehend arriving 15 min. early to learn to groom , tack up , talk horse care 'n health - all a free gift of my time to help students & get to visit 'n learn about them too . The " fashion lady " didn't last long ( lessons at the walk only ) , her choice , & quit w/out notice . Bless her heart ... 😂

When I volunteered at a beginner lesson barn, EVERY KID (and usually the delusional adults, too) would ask when they could "gallop". A) you probably mean canter. B) with that balance and that attitude- uh, 2 to 3 years. And it was always the ones who were awful, I don't know why...
