Jeremy McGrath is the King of Supercross. With 72 wins and 7 championships he stands alone as the man inside a stadium. Obviously I am a lifelong fan of MC but it wasn't until recently we got to hang out at Mammoth Motocross where I got to see the secret to all of his success. He really love riding his dirtbike.

When I was a kid, my dad worked at Honda HQ. They flew Jeremy in on a helicopter and I was in awe. He came up to me first thing off the helicopter and said hi to me. I couldn't even talk really. lol Awesome guy and very down to earth considering what his acomplishments are.

It is crazy that as he says in this interview that he really didn't notice he was revolutionizing supercross at the time . Then to think it got even more complex when Carmichael started winning . I love the history of our sport.

100% agree. Absolutely top bloke. And when you consider he is the absolute king of SX, who could almost be forgiven for being a bit arrogant, it makes it even more impressive.

He really is. Showtime and the King for a reason I thought he was kind of a dick growing up but learning he wasn’t a crowd guy makes sense and totally helps me understand how the dude thinks as I’m older

Total respect for The King, Jeremy is such a great humble man. I don’t ride moto use to ride jet skis but do ride MTB and snowboard (I’m 51) BUT McGrath ,Victor Sheldon and Shaun Palmer are the guys I look up too.

For the risks they take.and year round training and short careers they get paid peanuts. Not even to mention the injuries they work thru.

Is anyone paying attention to the fact that Jace seems to get all the big-name current riders before most anyone else? When it comes to the In depth Story Telling of their career style podcast, Gypsy Tales seems to get them all first. Ando, Hayden( he had Hayden before Hayden was even a good interview) Cooper, Shimoda (good job on that one especially) Now MC. The list goes on and on. Not bad for some dude in Australia. Alright, I'm done riding leg. #HOWARDSTERN

Jeremy McGrath played a part with the crusty demons type videos which would spawn on freestyle Motocross and free riding

That's the bonus money he's talking about. For instance, Dunlop would pay maybe $1000 - $1500 for an overall on top of the purse. At the rate Jeremy was winning and with all the sponsors that signed on, it added up nicely. Plus the Championship bonus from the factory.

Wow Gypsy, did you just suggest to us that Deegan in ANY WAY steered the course of 199??? Dude, I cannot believe you just straight faced said that to Showtime... I loved the whole demon metal thing but he was like 3-4th man on that crew in terms of talent and Trav was on some whole nuvva stuff... There is not one area that Deegan "shows" Travis ANYTHING. Love the show ESP when ya talk to my era guys but HAD to comment here on that man... Metzger, Linkogle, Ronnie faisst...

It’s funny how deegan talks shit about this good vs evil crap when it was never like that. He straight up didn’t like Travis in the early years and talked so much shit on the ama when he bailed out to do freestyle. He sucked at racing and blamed it on not having factory support but years later he was able to talk just enough bs after almost dying that he got people believing his little story and that’s kept him relevant with his son and making money. You can tell mc doesn’t give two fvks about Brian and everything he’s done. Even he knows what’s up from what happened back in the day.

@jaybird3302 Brian took the professional wrestling approach to his career since he did not have the talent to win on that level! It's genius how he manipulated the media & still does it today.
