I've owned mine for sometime. Had zero issues, it looks and feels every bit as good as it did on day one. It's the best H pattern shifter there is. Simple. The guys at BDH are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and funny 😁. Customer service is as good as the product, I wish them every success, they deserve it. 👏

I think this review is very good. I'm sure the BDH family will be very happy with your representation of them and the shifter Lawrence.

It would be nice if you could get your hand on the SRT9.1 Gearbox by LeboisRacing to compare, it's a DIY gearbox mostly 3D printed, cost around 200euros (and a good day to build ). it's a 6 gear + sequential. I have it and it just feel like a real shifter.

Just preordered the h1sq, BDH have addressed all the “issues” people have with the bazooka and kept the price the same. I know it’s expensive but after having 3 shifters basically fall apart on me with questionable customer support I feel like my moneys going to the right place

The new H1SQ might be the best all-around shifter on the market. If I had the money that is what I would buy. Solid H-pattern and sequential in the same package.

These are lovely shifters Laurence but a bit out of my affordability zone. I use the Fanatec Clubsport SQ V1.5 so I have H pattern and Sequential. The latest BDH shifters have updated electronics designed and built by JC_R4CER who was with us at the Expo. You probably saw him, he was the guy with the beard and his left hand in a splint sat at the same table I was at the after party.

I'm not sure his splint looks like Harry Potter but I'll take your word for it. 😉 If only he was as good with handling kitchen knives! 😂

As we are all very interested in the simiest of simming, and I'm sure I'm not alone in caring about my knob, especially in the context of the caring and sharing of it. It has served me well for many years now and I am not quite at the point where I would find it a positive action and dealing with a different shaped knob.

Good review. I’ve had mine for about 4 months now. While I feel like a bit of a knob for paying that much for it, it’s so worth it. Banging through the gears on a dog-leg gearbox is incredibly satisfying. The only negative for me is the size. I do about 50/50 H pattern and sequential and there’s no good way to keep both mounted up to the rig. I have to remove the BDH lever and then mount up the sequential shifter every time I want to use it. It’s not terrible but not ideal either.
@May2slow4310 ай бұрын
Since you had enough for this shifter I'd suggest buying a bigger metal plate to mount it or cut a metal plate and drill into your rig, also don't feel like a knob it is your money lol go ahead and buy what you want.

I'm gonna need a new rig to run this thing...🥔 Nation!

I bought mine as I prefer separate controls, hated switches between H-pat and sequential on the Fanatec shifter - had to change knobs, feeling was inconsistent in both modes (when you set properly one the other becomes either too loose or to tight), placement for one of the modes at least was always a compromise. Looking in other combined products did not seem much better, this decided to get full size sequential and pair with a Bazooka. Best decision ever, now the are properly aligned, always ready to use both when needed. Especially in Dirt Rally 2 and hopefully soon in EA WRC where every car uses the corresponding shift method this is great. Have to mention I connected both shifters directly to my Fanatec wheelbase so all has native support in driver and games :D

I am manufacturer of sequential shifters an e-brakes in Georgia, i can say that motherboard what is used is rubbish, i used it 2 years ago, from 10 pc the 5 was failing in USB 3.0. so i moved to arduino and its fine since then. the gearbox itself is cool but price is -.

Does yours have any play in each position? Mine has a little bit of movement, and not a massive deal as it’s probably realistic to real transmissions, but I’ve never seen anyone mention it.

@@LaurenceDusoswa hmm, thanks for the reply. I’ll send a vid to the guys at Bdh, because I’m not sure if mine is normal. It doesn’t bother me that much I just don’t want it to introduce unneeded wear on the internals.

Way to expensive and definitely not worth it for sim racing. Also way to big and bulky and ugly. So for the price it’s a definite fail.

it's quite compact though? but why do you say it is too expensive? it seems to be an incredibly reasonable price for top end simracing gear, and I'd say the new H1SQ is cheap, if anything. I'm not sure what you're comparing with to call it expensive... basically every top end simracing product has been in the €1000-2000 range; rarely above or below it.
