You always gotta move the container portion and it only reaches like 2-3ft. Other then that the H-10 never lets me down........just sometimes accessibility.If the H-10 was a hand held leak detector it would have no competition at all in my mind, but sometimes I just dont feel like grabbing the H-10 if you know what I mean...

@rookierefrigeration43574 жыл бұрын
First of all, thank you for watching the videos. I appreciate you. The H10, I think it’s a great leak detector. Very versatile. And very sensitive when you need it to. I honestly think you can get a year of constant use out of the sensor before replacing it. I’ve had this one for a year with moderate to heavy use and it’s still running great.
@LepseudoAlakon4 жыл бұрын
@@rookierefrigeration4357 Great, roughly what I'm getting with the SRL8, but sensitivity should be better. keep on the good job on your daily work man ... Greetings from NZ.
@WTFChuk4 жыл бұрын
I have a 25 year old H-10G that is still on it's original sensor. Lifespan depends on how much you use and abuse the unit. By abuse, I mean that once you get a hit, don't keep the probe on it and let it keep squealing. Also, don't start out on the highest ("small") sensitivity, as it runs the heater hotter which makes it age faster, as well as making it more susceptible to "poisoning" on a large hit. Start on "large" or "medium", depending on what other clues you have as to the likely size of the leak. This is where experience comes in. If there is enough refrigerant in the atmosphere of a walk-in to increase the tick rate of an H-10 then it's a good bet the leak is large enough to detect on "large" or "medium". If you see a bunch of oil, again it's likely a fairly large leak. If the system was full with 20lbs of refrigerant six months ago and now the sight glass is full of bubbles and you have confirmed a low charge, then you have a big leak, and should you even need to break out the H-10 to find it you definitely want to start out on "large" or "medium". OTOH, if the amount of refrigerant lost is small (or is modest but took a long time before enough leaked out to impact system operation), there is no signs of obvious leakage, and a thorough check on "medium" setting gave none or inconclusive results, then you switch to "small" and run over the coil/TXV/whatever again.
@JDT7381264 жыл бұрын
12:15 hey does that trick really work? I dont see how you would be able to pull it off without a helper. Also I would assume since you had just a slight pressure on the coil that you're not worried about introducing contaminants? Seems like a cool trick if it works......
