Hey all! I'm at the Performance Racing Industry Show (PRI Show) here in Indianapolis, and was randomly asked by a stranger (viewer, I hope?) where I got the door handles I used. In case you were wondering too, I got mine on sale at Hobby Lobby. Nice selection. Enjoy! -Mark, Haas Tip of the Day

House numbers are also a great thing to give! You can engrave the owners names on it so its a bit more personal gift.

Back in trade school, we would make gifts every year for the school staff. Card holders, multi-bit screwdrivers, and tape dispensers, to name a few. Usually in batches of 600 or so.

I made engraved custom keychains a few years ago. Everyone loved them, and some of the family still uses them! I'll send a photo if I can find one.

Hi Mark, Great to meet you the other day and see round your enormous factory. I have to say I did wonder what the random blue plastic egg was on your work bench, but now I know! Pete. (from England).

i love the Dutch translation: using a screw machine(lathe) for turning, a engraving machine(engraving tool) presumably on top of the milling machine, and a head drill(spot drill) and so on.. - that aside - keep up the good work on the Haas machines. Nice workpieces. Merry Christmas!

Hi Mark - I need a good workflow to engrave company logos and other artwork onto my parts. What's the best way? I'm a Solidworks user, or I can use other software to make DXF files, I think. This is more than just engraving letters and numbers. Thanks, and please keep more TOTDs coming! And, where can I get a signed Mark Terryberry 8x10 photo to hang in my shop?

I also make custom engraved pool stick chalk holders and put them on a retractable key chain holder. Custom made (for my neighborhood bars) quarter holders to stick on their pool table with the bar name engraved.

I have a huge interest in cnc machining but had the chance to work them, only ever worked on manual machines in toolrooms. when at work before there was some titanium gr5 in the scrap bin, I asked the boss if I could have some to make a bait punch set for fishing as a gift for my dad, next thing I knew I was making the boss a set too.
