I'm more interested with those who confidently refuse to change their sales technique and keep barrelling with unconnected questions. Also would question why the sales managers and others in their position keep doubling down on a losing sales strategy. There has to be a reason why this kind of advice is not taken up.

What you explained at 11:30 is called the Raikov Effect. You described the method used that makes it so powerful. It's like giving an amateur some sales steroids. Love it!

Well, the bane of my existence in my particular sales industry is the mandatory scripting I actually have to read to be compliant federal regulations… and there are a LOT of them. I try to preface that I have to read them, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make these verbatims more conversational. I absolutely despise the scripting and I can just feel it causing tension on the other side of the phone as I’m reading them.

This is my problem. I haven't memorized the script, we have a 1.5 hr script with some surface level nepq... and I refuse to memorize it.

You're script is waaaay too long if it takes you 1.5 hrs. Your pitch shouldn't be more than 5 minutes

Whenever I get a scam call I try to order a pizza. If you can't deliver a large pepperoni pie and a 2L of Coke then stop wasting my time!

There's no such thing as a cold-call sales pitch that ISN'T a scam. If you're not succeeding in sales that just means you aren't evil. Get a real job, learn a skill, do SOMETHING!

@@leverage4 I worked for Kirby Vacuums and my sister did CutCo Knives as our first jobs. I was good at it too, when I got to the point of the presentation where I had to call back to the office and let them know how it was going I'd put the phone on speaker so everyone could hear the boss yelling at me for screwing it up. People would buy the vacuum just because they felt bad for me! Lol $1,000/week easy Anyway, I started to feel bad for basically robbing people after a while and quit. Coulda been worse, some of those Kirby people actually do just rob people
