a good way to easily skip the ad (if you're on a browser on pc) is the extension sponsorblock it's like an adblock but for sponsors, people telling you to subscribe, merch stuff, previews or recaps, intros, outros, and even filler content that isn't requiered for the main message of the video! you can turn like a 20 minute LTT video with this to a 9 minute one! also I'm not sponsored I just really fuckin like this extension

There are 2 situations for the setup: 1. They are trying to steal from you (as this vid shows) 2. They are idiots, but if it needs an actual card, then you can be tracked down and criminally charged with theft (this is a guess, i do not work in the law industry)
