My favorite part about this is that Meg isn't mean to Hypnos. She simply asks if he's asking her out. It's not malicious or even a no, just a question asked in good faith (and what sounds like incredulity). From what little interactions Meg and Hypnos has it seems like Meg might actually LIKE Hypnos. Not in the way she likes Zag or Than, maybe, but she definitely doesn't hate him like everyone else! My guy has a shot!

*minor spoilers* Idk if you've played more of the game by now, probably you have, so i guess you know by now that both those things change a lot lol! One of my favourite moments is Hypnos' later conversation with Meg in which he cheerfully tells her that the number of times she's died to Zagreus has kind of disillusioned him about her infallibility, and he's basically over her now? And as for Than, the little conversations about Hypnos' work ethic that grow steadily less berating and more stiltedly supportive, until they're genuinely impressed and complimentary? God tier. (Also when Hypnos got on the employee of the day/night board for the first time i cried)

Yeah, Its part of a running gag where Hypnos is too childish and innocent minded to grasp certain implications of what he and others say. This exchange is played off later when Hypnos assumes that the idea of flirting had to have come up because Meg has feelings for him and “ he has to let her down easy”.

Along with what Slug said a big part of Hypnos's trouble keeping up with work wasn't laziness but not understanding how to approach his tasks which I view as an executive function disorder which is common in people on the spectrum. He also makes a comment about enjoying lists, another trait of ASD. I'm pretty convinced Hypnos is an aspie

When you realize how a few characters in this game relate to nyx things start tp get real weird. Nyx is hypnos and thanatos mom. Nyx raised zag and was also the adoptive mother of thw fury sisters. So hypnos hitting on meg is hitting on his adoptive sister sort of. Zag being with meg is like being with his adoptive sister. And the possible thanatos relationship means its his adoptive brother. The most normal relationship you can attempt with zag at that point is with dusa...
