I have the a 7.25 inch wrist. I usually wear 38-42mm watches. But the 36mm OP is the best. I’ve tried to 41mm and it is a more significant wrist presence due to how flat the case is and also the time only dial makes the watch look bigger. The color also makes a difference. The lighter colors: 36mm. Darker colors: you can get away with the 41mm. I think the OP 41 should for wrists 8 inches+. 36mm for 6.5-7.5 inches.

I wanted to comment on your last vid, but then I thought there’s no point as your vids are on such a high level - that it’s obvious to anyone who watches your content. But this one is crazily spectacular. The time taken for such results would probably shock me. There was a time when you had competition, but no longer. It must be incredibly difficult to source brand new watches, but I think this should be your next step. The difference in videotography would be worth it. Keep it up. Happy to offer the odd suggestion on reviews if you’re keen. Regards

Very good points about the chamfered edges on the 36mm and the size of the dials. I own a white 36mp OP which feels about right on the wrist and also looks great. I tried on a 41mm Datejust a few days ago and felt it was out of proportion and heavy. It did not feel like a Rolex.

Got to try on both the 36 and 41 yesterday. You're one of the only people online who mentioned how the dial markers are beveled on every corner of the OP36. It's such a minor detail but once you see it, it is HUGE. It glistens way more and adds way more to the dial. The 36 fit my wrist better so I purchased it mainly for that reason. But the extra detail to the dial markers made me love it.

Those hour markers are simply work of art, especially when you place OP36 side by side with Datejust and Explorer 1. Each of those watches are beautiful on it’s own, but hour markers on OP just simply amazing.

Oddly enough I tend to disagree. I have both the 36 and 41 and the indices on the 41 play with light much more effectively with the flat polished surfaces on the indices creating these perfect rectangles in the light. I don’t know how to explain it but it’s a much more masculine and sporty look. If you could post photos I’d show both in low lighting where most reflective

Here's a thought: maybe you could do a review of the two plus the similarly styled, black-dialed and older Air-King to show how the two OPs are design offshoots of the AK. Btw, I don't understand the thumbs down votes on this or any other vloggers' videos. The visual and presentation quality of your videos far exceed those of other so-called "reviewers". What a great comparison. It makes you wonder why Rolex call them the dimensions that they do. I have just put my name forward for the Bright Blue 41. I have a 7.5 inch wrist, to use different units. After trying one on, it looked the better size for me. Many is the time I thought 39mm was too small, I now have a 39mm chrono field style watch and a 40mm diver and they both look nigh on perfect to me. Can't wait to get the OP. The essential Rolex that truly shows the form and function of the Oyster design, the bracelet has such presence, but class also. You see the Oyster bracelet before you see the watch and the full brushed appearance, for me, stands head and shoulders above a polished centre link version.

It will also be nice to compare dial colors against of each other. I agree with 41 mm a bit louder watch. So if I would wear yellow or red the 41 mm will be even more louder. That been said, because I travel a lot to Vietnam for example, I would prefer less louder watch. On another hand if I travel to Japan or Singapore, the bigger watch probably is the way to go. I think it would be a good idea to compare watches based on country. Note that traveling celebrity chefs very rarely wear a large watch. Take Gordon Ramsey or Anthony Bourdain for an example. You can usually spot 36 mm - 37 mm watches on their wrists. That being said, if I go with red or yellow color dials, my choice would be 36 mm. I will greatly appreciate if you can make a video comparing different colors vs different regions.

Just wondering if you were to measure the OP 41 case horizontally (at 3-9, across the centre) at it’s widest section (minus the crown - it could be pulled out during the measurement process) it would result in a truer measurement (although a bit less than 41 mm possibly but much larger than your 39.52 mm measurement) as opposed to measuring diagonally? As an option, the measurement could be measured at the back of the watch. Ideally, this option would result in a more accurate measurement overall (including any future watch reviews). Food for thought.

@HafizJMehmood4 жыл бұрын
Cheers. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad watch. Rolex are really about durability, versatility, history, timeless design, and value retention as a brand. They’re not the best watches to experience high end watchmaking under macro but the issues seen on OP41 i reviews a few days ago were honestly way beyond what I’d consider acceptable. The good news is that these issues are all claimable under warranty so if you see anything, you can always take it back to Rolex and I’m 100% sure they’d fix it. What I show is what I find, and not what can’t be fixed. The pity is that these watches at this price shouldn’t leave factory with such issues and should be picked up at QC. If you checked my OP41 blue dial review, it was mint under the macro. So I was expecting this black dial to show the same details but again I still wouldn’t call it a bad watch. It’s a beautiful watch and I would love to add it personally to my collection too someday. Thanks for watching.
