Yeah, it's crazy how good that 392 is. The AMG is over $400k, I would expect it to do what it did. It's not a Rock Crawler. The Jeep is the ONLY rock crawler in this group. Bronco tries, but it's independent front suspension is it's weak point in that arena. The Bronco however will most certainly be better at high-speed desert racing. Honestly the AMG and Rover aren't in the same class, they're luxury SUVs that might see a little mud and dirt, though most never will. Peep the street tires for evidence. The Jeep and Bronco are purpose built machines, a middle finger to automotive convention.

And that even-fire V10 is a noise that's too hard to live without. When I saw the AMG G-Wagon, I knew it would win. An interesting test would be to see how all would fair in a race with identical tires on it. The G-Wagon is already laced up with street performance tires and the Defender had a street tire as well. Where the 392 had it's Radial-T/A off road tires on, I think it would have moved a bit further ahead of the Defender. But, while the G-Wagon is certainly amazing....I can't justify spending over twice the price for that over the Jeep (and a premium even for the Defender as spec'd). The Grand Cherokee in its off road variant is also capable off road with the correct variant. The G wagon and the Range Rover they showed were both of the variant equivalent to a Trackhawk. All I was trying to say was they took two suvs that were specifically designed for off roading(Sand - Raptor, Rocks - Rubicon), then touted that the ones not in 35" offroad tires, lockers, removable tops, off road suspension, lower gear ratio, the list goes on; were way faster. Just not a surprising outcome, to an unmatched race. But many people don't know enough about cars other than to watch some cool cars race down a track and jump on the band wagon of which one is faster.

@@kingsgarage938 g wagon has street tires and like half the clearance of the wrangler, wrangler and bronco are way more capable.

@@1logmeekstrackhawk is meant for drag racing. I'm sure trackhawk would have beaten Mercedes Gwagon comfortably. Trackhawk is as fast the legendary Dodge viper

We need the Rivian R1S to join in as well! It would be the ultimate off roading SUV drag race.

That 2004 Gallardo does 0-60 in 4.7 sec. lol. I would hope most modern cars can keep up with that. 🧐

Even if the Bronco Raptor wins, wrangler 392 with the hemi 6.4 V8 is still the most authentic American truck.

That Gallardo looks stunning in silver with the silver stock wheels. So much class and timeless. To think the majority of them are in orange with black wheels and an e-gear transmission 🤮

The thing the Bronco and the other forced induction vehicles have is that a simple tune with an increase in boost can make them significantly faster. It's much harder to make more power out of a naturally aspirated engine.
@MitchellMcjohnson2 жыл бұрын
The 6.4 is detuned and makes over 40whp with just a plug in tune and no bolt ons but usually turbos tune better.

I want to see an off-road race between the 392 and the raptor, if they had the same tires i feel the jeep would destroy it, even with the extra weight from the tires
