There's a reason why many of these car shops are in the countryside, parking is free and plenty if space .property and buildings are much cheaper than in the cities The best way to live in Japan is in the rural areas, housing is far cheaper, plots of land are bigger meaning more parking space . In Japan you can easily own a car but you must have the space to park it. City living means that renting a carpark is the only option since most people live in apartment buildings. Parking can be anywhere from 100-300k yen a year. I live about 1 hr from Osaka, my home is 440m2 and the mortgage is less that renting a 3ldk in Osaka. Yes I'm perfectly fine to commute each day, even with the added cost of fuel it's far cheaper than living in Osaka. Traffic is light parking is free and easy. Just of note I own 4 cars in Japan. If you do your own shaken have plenty of free parking spaces, owning a car in Japan isn't expensive
@KhemotherapyАй бұрын
Wait till you see Singapore. Before you buy the car, you have to buy the rights to own a car. And this rights costs almost 80,000 USD for up to 1,600 CC/130bhp and 88,000 USD for anything above those 2 specifications. And after that, there’s “Additional Registration Fee”, which is a tax on the car’s value. 100% on the first 15,300 USD, then 140% for 15,301 USD to 30,600 USD, then 190% for 30,601 USD to 46,000 USD. There’s 2 more steps that goes up to 320% tax for anything above 61,000 USD in value. Also petrol prices here is ridiculous. 2.21 USD per litre for RON 95. It’s much more depressing here.
