As a 32 year old woman. I feel so held back because of all the things I allowed people to get away with. I was blatantly disrespecting myself. These past 10 years just flew by. I don’t feel 32 I feel like the 20 year old young woman still trying to find herself. I’m more excited to rebuild and start over from scratch with literally no money just ambition and a dream. Im 33 sis and I sorda feel the same. Me and my mom agreed to live together and she’s working my f’in nerves! Stressing me out to the max because she has a mental illness and suffers from anxiety. Shes one of the ppl that steered me the wrong way in life. I believe if I just get away from her, I’ll be so much better off. I cut my friend because she’s evil and does black magic which I recently found out this year. I’m just relying on praying more at this point. 😢

I'm 35 and feel the same way. I've been disrespected so many times and as much as it was the fault of those low vibrational people in my life, I have to take accountability for the mouselike mentality I have. I'm in my isolation month at the moment, cut off social media, move in silence more and the real different people are entering my circle. As a 17 year old going through tough times and persisting my manifestations and prayers, you truly are a hope, Hailey! It can be difficult sometimes to accept or believe that I too deserve to live a good and easy life, especially coming from a traumatic childhood where my mind was basically programmed into believing that I will never be good enough or be able to achieve my dreams because they are for everybody else but myself. That imposter syndrome and inner critic definitely kicks in, but I'm still continuing to persist, write my goals down, I'm determined to be a generational cycle breaker and the first person in my family dynamic to heal! I'm going into my 28th year this April and completely agree with the points that you made about age. Once you hit 25, things really start to change in terms of perspective. There is always going to be something new to figure out in life, even ourselves, but once we start embracing our core selves and learning what is truly important to us, everything else falls into place so much more fluidly. Dang, your perspective on being a "pick me girl" really shook me. I've been under the impression this whole time that it is about putting other women down, being the "cool girl" that hangs out with the guys and doesnt befriend other girls because "they're just too much drama". But hearing you talk about it just now made me realize that in my last relationship, I sacrificed/compromised a lot of my personality and morals so that.. he would pick me. I'm actually not sure if I can think of a relationship I've had that I didn't do this in. And not even pick me over another girl, there wasn't anyone else that I know of. I just wanted him to pick me to love, to have a life with. In the end we each picked a different path anyway. You're right, I won't be "selling" myself to anyone or selling myself short when it comes to relationships anymore. Relationships are not transactions, no sales pitch required for the right people 💖

About writing paragraphs to men who hurt you. This is spot on. I have also evolved past this point it is more powerful and kind to yourself to walk away because silence is so much more powerful. I feel like you are handing them your power when you write paragraphs when they hurt you especially if you know, they have no intention of making it right. Keep your power, and say some thing like “you take care”. or don’t even message them at all. They might even think they’ve been replaced 😂🙌🏽 Closure is an inside job.

oh my goodness Hailey, the part where you take about how you can learn a lot of things outside of college and high school is very true. As an 18 year old in my second semester at university, I have been struggling a lot with feeling useless and dub because of a math class that is required for my major and every time go to lecture, it seems as though I never understand anything. I find this funny because I have been learning everything I know from outside tutorials online. I use KZbin, random websites, and books that I find. If there is anytime to pick up a better understanding in math, chemistry, or physics, it would be now because we have the internet at our fingertips.
