You guys would have saved heaps of money getting a dealer to fit and plumb this engine up hands down.

Put some trim stoppers in the tilt ram. I did that with my optimax to stop it hitting my transom when i podded my boat.

Hi Brooke. Just a point to note, when I was young, I learned from a real old school marine mechanic. When rebuilding hulls, not to use Marine ply as it is designed to keep out chemicals and contaminants like resin. Standard ply will soak in the resin meaning it won’t Rot and making it stronger. I have never been in the position to test this but it certainly is more then just food for thought.

Great job, 👍 BTW, I think you need to do the calibration on your PCM and your new OBM, u still can use the 200hp rigging harness, key switch, killer switch n the throttle lever

I sure hope you guys are planning on putting in two supporting knees for the transom. Given that she was originally inboard/ outboard. I have seen too many failed transom conversions when supports aren’t glasses in.

Seeing how thin that transom is we may end up seeing another “Sunk Verado” rebuild series soon.

yes, it's a massive job and I hope that by posting a video like this it helps people decide whether or not they should take on a job like this or let a professional do it. If it's not done properly then it can be even more of a disaster down the track.

You cannot just hang a 300hp engine on a transom that isn’t designed for that .

This boat from factory was designed for an outboard motor, a customer asked for an inboard motor so they modified an engine bay for this boat.

You wasted your money On a Brokery I I mean a Mercury. Should of got a Suzuki 10 times a better motor and 2x longer warranty. Hopefully you got one of the few ,a good one !! I had a brand spanking new Brokery it blew up twice. I wish someone would have told me to stick with Evinrude,I was born Evinrude I had a 9.9 Hp 1979 I use and abuse it,sank it twice running full throttle took home and clean out and continue to abuse. I now have my 2008 Evinrude 300 etec I set the emm to tcw3 setting computer runs a little heavy on oil change plugs every 100 hours. I can scan engine myself. Good luck on your Beautiful new shiny motor JT HOOKED N ROLLING OFFSHORE 🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️🩹🐟🐠🎣🛥
