Thank you for this information because most of the KZbinrs are young girls who never struggled with hair loss and keep telling us over 30s that our hair will grow as long as we take care of it! I'm 42 and I started to have severe hair loss at age 31 probably triggered by stress but I'm also a thalassemia carrier so my hair never grew past my neck my entire life!!

Perimenopausal/menopausal hair is a beast in and of itself even without HRT. Dry, stubborn, losing elasticity, shedding shedding, breaking. Going through it right now and am at my wits end. I’ve been nursing my hair for the better part of 2 years now and while it’s growing a bit it’s just weak and messy, shedding and breaking every which way despite caring for it and protective styling to reduce manipulation.

Hi Tamika. My hair was thinning at one point. Collagen peptide powder reversed it. Vital proteins is the most popular but I’ve found a few bulk suppliers because I take bovine, marine and chicken because I’m extra like that. 😂. Another thing I recently started, because I’m extra (the collagen really did restore my hair) is the irestore red light therapy helmet. I bought it reconditioned from e-bae for like $200. I take vitamin D (with K2) like you as well. I do the scalp massages as well except I use a theragun massager to do it. I let it gently tap my head. I eat mostly protein and hardly any carbs and sugars has helped tremendously too. Best to you.
Thank you for sharing your experiences. Also, thank God you found solutions that stopped the breakage and grown your hair back

Thank you for sharing! I had issues with my hair thinning when I went into Menopause. But then I was diagnosed with cancer & had Chemo. I lost all my hair, but when it did grow back, it was thin. Then it started shedding & thinning again...Ugh?! So I think I'm gonna try some of the supplements you took. Again, thank you.

I am 61 years old and had hot flashes only for 2 weeks in 2012. The hot flashes stopped when I incorporated flaxseed and flax oil in my diet. I have super thick and very long hair and no gray hairs... flax oil and flaxseed is a game changer 🙏🏽☺️

👑 @@blackmasterpeice...🌱I have too incorporated flaxseed oil and flaxseeds to my diet, shampoo and conditioner and oils. Add equal parts 1 TBSP of flaxseeds to your flaxseed oil dressing to top off a great garden salad. If you like salmon or tuna, add a cap-size to your olive oil. And if you're into smoothies, just drop a TBSP in the blender. I keep it simple with supplements (Geritol w/iron). Don't forget, maintain a meditated (prayerful) lifestyle, exercise regularly and eliminate as much process or JUNK food as possible. 🥬🍓🥒🍅🥦🧅🥕🍠🍆🥗 It has taken me nearly a YEAR to actually SEE results with consistency. Don't be afraid to re-evaluate, tweek and re-set your journey...this is not a one-size fit-all love affair.🥰❤

Im experiencing this exact same thing ...i believe its just simply hormones period, not necessarily HRT. This was happening to me prior to my surgically induced menopause. Ive been on HRT for a month and i haven't had any hair loss. I do protein treatments and i pretty much baby my hair to make sure i dont lose any more hair. I plan on cutting all the thin hair completely off to maybe a short bob and just regrow it. IMO it doesn't look good when it thin and see through mid shaft to end. Plusit doesn't hold curls and its pretty much lifeless...just cut it

@SimplyTamika Omg thanks for sharing. Can I use this for my 6yr old daughter she has your same exact hair type and texture and when wet it shedding, stringly and snaps off easy when trying to brush the ends. Same exact traces of shred hair is in the brush too. Please help because no beautician will do her hair due to her age and claiming she won’t sit still. Currently I use rice shampoo and Kera Care moisturizing shampoo with Creme of Nature’s Argan conditioner. Sometimes I wash the 1st wash with Selsum blue then go in with what I indicated. Thank you in advance
@SimplyTamika7 ай бұрын
I don't think doing this will be an issue. I wouldn't give her the supplements but that shampoos and conditioners will work on hair whether young or old. Since the rice shampoo contains amino acids(protein) I would not use that as often as the Kera Care. Be sure to deep condition her hair and add moisture before you comb or brush her hair.

I have ultra-fine hair that sheds like this. I do not detangle my hair wet. I detangle it dry with a pre-poo and a seamless wide-tooth comb. Then I shampoo and deep condition with a hot towel and shower cap. After rinsing I let my hair dry in a micro fibre towel for 20 minutes Then I apply a leave-in detangler and a leave-in conditioner and then detangle my hair in 20 sections with a seamless medium-toothed comb and the tangle teezer for fine and fragile hair. If I do my hair any other way, I lose too much hair!!
