I LOVE my Aubonacci tool! I've only used it for 2 washdays but I'm sold! I use a strong gel, pick up some hair and gently pull it a little, and then roll it like a curling iron. Haven't root clipped since I got it and my hair loves to bond with my scalp.

Aaaaah you are the one that got me to buy the root clips. Maybe.... you could do an update telling us what products you still use? I found I did not like them so that went down the drain, along with other items like the Denman brush, I do not see you use that any more and I am older and disabled and do not have the money to toss out, you know? Thank you for ALL you do do for us, I have learned a lot from you. Rose.

I like the AuBonnacci root lifter thing, but from what I've discovered it's $54! Too much for my budget. There are some facsimiles out there which are about $5. I'd be willing to get one of those to test how it functions. Then, if I don't like it, I haven't lost too much money.

The corkscrew hair decorations are so easy to use! My very very very tender headed niece had the corkscrew studs in her very very very curly hair when she went to prom. My niece didn’t even feel them in her hair and they came out with ease at the end of prom.

Yay hair jewelry! I’m loving it. (Right now I am adoring rhinestone and pearl barrettes and clips. ) I CANNOT get behind the current claw clip craze b/c to me they are utilitarian sectioning clips and they will never look decorative to me. Love some sparkle in my white curly hair. If I can’t get a lot of shine due to color and texture, I can at least get sparkle!!! I’m definitely interested in the root volume tool. Tricks w stylers don’t work the way I want; I don’t want to have to have stiff or product-y roots to get lift at the crown.

I bought an early version of the AuBonacci device. It didn't have a brand or name on it. It was just a single piece of molded plastic. Cost me less than $10 about 15 years ago. I bought it just because it caught my eye. Had no idea how to use it or what it was for. There were no directions or anything. I have shorter, very fine low density hair, and I use it on damp hair. I wound it up and slip it off. Then I microplop it, diffuse it, and the curls are amazing. I showed it to my hairstylist. she had never seen anything like it before. I showed her how I use it, and she was absolutely floored by how well it worked on my hair. What it did was emphasize the curl in my hair and it held it while I diffused. My hairstylist said I could get rid of my Denman and everything else because this thing was all I needed. I do love it that much. Having said all that I don't think it would be real easy to use on someone with real high density hair. I just love it on mine.
