Yes, these people also try to calm themselves just "well, it's a hair, it will be okay soon". No, it's not. And it's painful to see people with gorgeous natural hair, who cruelly torture it, burn it and then say "it's just a hair". I wish I could have a natural thick hair, but I don't have such, it's genetics. I always have to care about it to maintain it just in "good" condition, it's a lot of work. I hope, you will be better soon, I wish you a good health and I really believe your hair will be beautiful

Thank you for biting back at the “it’s just hair” comments! As if going through chemo at the age of 37 wasn’t bad enough, I was constantly told “it’s just hair” when I explained that I was using the Cold Cap to help prevent hair loss. It was one of the only things I could control to keep a bit of normality for myself and my young son. It is just hair - until you’re faced with the prospect of not having any. So thank you 😊

Honestly, the first girl did not want the colors she got, but i really liked them. Imagine professionally done lavender bangs fading into pink the further you go to the back of the head. The lower hair being peach color so everytime she tilts her head you see more and more peach poking through the pink. Amazing concept tbh, i hoped she'd at least have the pink even out her hair a bit more :/

Speaking as a DIY-er myself..? I’ve never cared if my hair does not absorb the color perfectly EVENLY, all over. I think it’s pretty fun that there are different nuances, anyway! Plus when you apply semi permanent, bright, unnatural dye..? It will just wash out, anyway! So who cares? I actually think her end result turned out pretty cool! Clearly a failure if she wanted UNIFORM, even color, though. It really just depends on what you want! I think just generally speaking, with both haircutting and hair dyeing..? If you are very set on your hair having to end up a VERY specific way, that you’ve envisioned in your head, you should just NOT DIY, period! But if you like experimenting and being adventurous, you like CHANGE, and you’re not all that picky? Plus you enjoy the experience, and are cool with your hair turning out however it turns out? Go ahead and have fun!! That’s always been my attitude, anyway. It’s just hair. It grows out. And if you mess it up TOO badly, you can always just cut it off, or seek out a hairdresser to get it fixed. Not that educating yourself on how to do something, in a way that does not unnecessarily mess up your hair, is at all a bad idea, though. ;)

I used the blondeme and 20 vol developer at your recommendation and my hair feels better now than it did before I bleached it. It’s so Soft, no dead frizzy gummy mess, no snapping, it’s tangle free, silky, shiny and sparkly (after I wash it I also use a tresemme keratin hair oil in the damp hair and I don’t blow dry it to minimise damage). People really need to listen to you more. I never imagined an at home bleach job could end with hair feeling so healthy and soft. 🥳

13:00 ❤❤❤ That's exactly true! And even with no illness. Hair means so much us. Even little kids care about their haircut. It's the most flexible easy thing to chance ones appearance. And how someone's hair looks like says a lot about the person. Think about it. If someone comes around with washed out hair colours and bleached damaged ends. What's the first thing you think about them? Me? I think "Oh I would have likes to see that freshly after they done that." And the second thing is "What a shame they overdo it so much to express their individuality. It looks so dead now. Sadly they clearly can't afford a hairdresser for that." It's a bunch of stuff that I just read out of their hair. It also tells me, that they care a lot about being themselves, which usually means...they weren't allowed to be themselves at one point. See how far this goes? Of course it's just assumptions! You don't know anything until you got to know another person. I guess my point is...that we might be unaware, but we always care about hair. Not being able to just stand up in the morning and comb it and be out the door... but standing there trying to hide bold spots or trying to wrap a scarf around what's left after chemotherapy. It's devastating to me. Can't imagine how it must be for those people
