Tracy looks positively gorgeous in that dress! Being over 200 pounds myself, they should make plus size attire like that so I can fit into them.

Just out of curiosity, I checked to see if 3311 Eastern Ave was a real address in Baltimore. It is. It's now a crossfit studio, of all things.

Too bad the pink Snowball that the lovely Tracey takes a bite of doesn't show up in full color for the folks watching at home on their black & white TV.

@Dolly: Interesting point, but no doubt a modern audience would be confused if the sizes mentioned in the scene were accurate for 1962. This is one of those situations where, no matter what gets written, the writer gets called an idiot.

I've only just spotted a goof in this scene after all these years....Mr Pinky says his plus sized clothes are 'available in size 12 to 26. In 1962, a size 12 was anything BUT plus sized. A 1962 size '12' had a 32 inch bust, a 25 inch waist, and a 34 inch hip measurement. In other words, a modern dress size 4, pant size 00-0.

Look at any photo of the Supremes from 1965-1966... at THAT time, Diana Ross wore a size 5, Mary Wilson a size 7, and Florence Ballard a size 10.

Taking photos of the tv screen…that stuff really happened…no VCRs…
@hebneh8 ай бұрын
However, photos of TV screens often turned out poorly because what looks to us like a continuously-illuminated picture filling the entire screen was actually a flickering scan. Photos frequently caught the scan only partway across the screen, meaning that in your picture, the television could be partly black. I experienced that disappointment myself in the '60s.
