You did an amazing job on this review! I tried Prose for the first time last night. Have to say I’m very impressed! My hair is nearly identical to yours in texture/curl type and length (but not as thick). I got the same products as you (S/C & curl cream) (minus the mask) plus an B complex vitamin and some oils supplement. Didn’t really mean to get the supplements - must have been part of a set/deal - $88 total. Shipping took about 3 weeks. I didn’t diffuse and my curls are still nice and defined with a lot of lift around the roots. This morning my hair still looked pretty good. I used a mister to reset the curls and that worked great. As you mentioned I needed very little product. My hair was very dirty (unwashed for 3 days plus literal dirt from gardening and hiking) and 2 pumps of Prose got it completely clean. I will note, my hair doesn’t get too oily unless I’ve been sweating or it’s been days without a wash. The texture of my hair after conditioning was unique. It didn’t feel slippery like after using other conditioners, but my hair didn’t feel dry or tangly either. I suspect this lack of residual product contributes greatly to the nice root lift, lightness of hair after it’s dry, and probably allows the curls to take their shape more easily? I’m the opposite of a professional. Ha. I am a low maintenance person with 3 littles and I love that I can wash and wear, and look like I put in a bit of effort. No pony and no hat required! I used 2 pumps of the curl cream and it seemed to pick up where the shampoo and conditioner left off. My hair felt ready to take in the product after the shower and immediately - while still very wet - I could see great results. Definition and texture. After sleeping on my hair, still not frizzy and with a nice texture, though less curly. Like I mentioned, misted some water on my hair and the curls reset about 75% compared to yesterday. I am allergic to most drugstore moisturizers and shampoos. My scalp feels very happy today. I am curious - the supplements I got are 30 days worth. Does Prose expect me to go through all these products in 30 days? I’m guessing it will take 3 months to use up all 3 bottles? I got the Arcadia scent. I love it. Def noticed the cedar. I’m not sure if I can smell in on my hair but it smelled great in the shower.

I don't care about curl. I blow dry and straighten. I love the prose because it has helped me completely stop losing so much hair when I shampoo.

Apply coconut oil all over your hair then shampoo, you will see a huge difference.

Great thoughts on Prose! I use them after not really liking some of high end shampoos and conditioners. They just seem to work really well better than others I have tried. The pre shampoo mask is expensive but lasts so long! Have straight with only very slight wave to it. Feel like the pre shampoo can also be used as regular mask. Those questions are very in depth. They also follow-up within a month or two to see if formula needs to be changed.

@@Ka1h_kjr it’s definitely nicer than drugstore products. My hair would look a bit frizzy in the winter after conditioner but after using prose, my hair looks smooth and shiny. The shampoo froths a lot with water, so I only need a small amount. I’ve also been able to go longer without washing my hair. The only con is the price. Great product otherwise, even for straight hair.

I am currently trying Prose and I chose not to get the pre shampoo mask because I didn’t want to go through more trouble taking care of my hair than necessary. I have some curls but not it’s also not super straight. I wanted something different after using the shampoo for years. Mine smells like spring.

My hair is very short (buzzed sides and a pixie mullet situation), wavy in the back. There are so many reviews for people with long hair but I can’t find any that have my length. I skip conditioner because it’s always too heavy and weighs down my waves and makes me very oily since my hair is too short to avoid getting it on the roots. I’m wondering if prose might help with this since they deal with both oily scalp and texture

That will be hard. Usually the part that’s difficult is the fragrance free part. Most of the time you’ll find free of synthetic fragrances but have essential oils.

Prose I believe has the option for complete fragrance free and also is sulphate free and has the option for silicone free. I haven’t tried it yet, actually just put in an order for it yesterday but only for 2 products. Want to try it first. My wish is to find something high quality and zero waste

Function has been damaging peoples hair. The reviews for it where so severe I returned the products and didn’t use them at all. Please be careful curlies. It’s been making hair fall out, drying and breakage.
