The act of writing and making public is testimony to those who have experienced war that they are not alone. It is a gift and partial education to those who have not experienced war, that they might better understand the cost to those who have sacrificed.

" Go, tell the Spartans, stranger passing by- That here, obedient to their laws, we lie." So wrote Simonides of Ceos to commemorate Leonidas' three hundred. "Theirs not to make reply, Theirs not to reason why. Theirs but to do and die." Lord Tennyson penned. "And so it goes" for patriots down thru time, as the WWII POW veteran and writer Kurt Vonnegut, oft wrote. Only those who have gone in harm's way understand the Truth that Love does indeed demand all and has the right to do so. Duty and honor at any and all cost,. Timeless selflessness eternal, incorruptible, enduring in the heart and soul of the warrior devoted.
