While doing halasan I was experiencing a lot of pressure on my lower part of skull and not the neck, at one point I thought blood supply might stop in the brain so I came back. What possibly could be wrong?

Namaste Naman Joshi ji. Are you practising Halasana for first time? If yes, then for few days don't be in a hurry to bring the feet on the floor in the final position. For few days, let the feet be little above the ground and become comfortable in that. This will also bring some comfort in the neck as well as back of the head. During Halasana, the head is bending forward fully. This can initially bring strain in the neck and at the base of the skull. It can be because of stiffness or because of structure od the skull. To avoid the pain in your condition, there are 4 things to keep in mind. 1 Put a blanket underneath the upper back to avoid discomfort, as explained in the video. 2 Put a small napkin underneath your head, so that it can work like a cushioning to protect from pressing into the floor. 3 Adjust your head to become comfortable in the final position. 4 Don't over do it. Better to progress slowly. Make these adjustments and let me know how you feel. If you don't feel comfortable, avoid the practice.

Your core strength is crazy. I have to swing both my legs over my head. That’s wrong so will need to start by supporting my back to lift legs over head.

Very well explained. All the Stages and difficulty levels, how to navigate them, how to use props, what to take care of. Excellent! Have been struggling with this asana but your video really inspired me to try again. Does the body need to be warm when doing this asana? Are inversion poses done at the end of yoga practice? Sir informative video. Well explained. My question is can we do this along with Sarvangasana, mean first come in the position of Sarvangasana and then from that go to Halasana?

I have been doing halasana for a few years, I can very easily touch the feet to the ground. However I feel that my back is curving a lot. You had a much straighter back in the video, how do I achieve it, is it important to keep a straighter back?

Namaste Mansi Saxena Ji In the final position, both the position of the spine, - straight and Curved is fine. But in case you want to try to straighten the back, then you can try this. In the Final position, If the toes goes too much away from the head, then there is a possibility that the spine will curve. So don't let the toes go too much away from the head. Keep it close and then try to lengthen the spine, the back will become little straight. Make sure that the neck should feel comfortable. Do practice and let me know how you feel. Thank you

I am trying to do sarvangasan and halasan but as I am heavy on my core muscles they are not very strong enough to lift the buttocks off the floor. What can I do? Please help.

Sir while doing this asana it becomes difficult to breath as the lungs can't expand fully because of stomach, and my back won't become as straight as yours. Should I stop doing it at all?

Do 45 degree raise and gradually lift your head and chest also as in boat pose . Aso lie on your stomach and do cobra baby cobra pose .These will prepare your core for halasana.

No ..its not ur core .. it's due to tight hamstring or weak hip flexors.

how many times can I do this posture? is it okay to do in three sets by holding the posture 30seconds each time? and initially when I am comfortable reduce it in 2sets and increase the time and slowly by 1?

Good afternoon sir, I am doing halasana from few days, I didn't reach to touch my feet floor yet, But it's not a problem, i am getting pain in upper back while doing halasana and in daily routine, is it means I am doing it in wrong way or it doesn't suits my body? Please do explain.

Namaste Shweta ji. It is completely fine, if the feet doesn't touch the floor. What you have to keep in mind is: 1 - Have proper thick mat or towel, as it can provide cushioning for the upper middle back. 2 - Don't let the shoulder go too close to the ears. Keep the shoulder away from the ear in the final position. Just make these 2 changes and let me know how you feel. Thank you
