Lzzy Hale is amazing. If you feel like digging, she documents the steps she took to maintain her voice; no alcohol, more sleep, one coffee then only water, etc. She has been very deliberate in her efforts to keep her voice; she said something along the lines of 'some people don't have to make these changes, I do.'

Just saw Halestorm last month and this woman was as strong as steel the entire show. Never cheated a note. Probably the very best vocalist' on the Rock music scene. Male or female. She takes the crown. And above all that, her little brother is one of the best drummers/ showman around. Finally, they are kind and very sweet folks.

Personal fun fact from me: This music video was filmed in my home town of Flint and "The Machine Shop", that you see in the beginning, is our local rock spot for up coming bands. I saw her live here and she truly touched my soul. Her band members were outside playing cornhole with us while waiting to get inside before the show. She came out and talked with us for a bit also. She was so moved by our crowd that she actually cried on stage. She is such a sweet person.

I’ll say I’m sure that happened, I’m in New Zealand. She partnered with an amazing female lead metal band here in NZ for some shows. I was a massive fan before this was announced. But when she played here. She was burnt the fuck out. Like she put her all. But her voice was fried. This was in the early days when I bet they were touring 365 24/7 it was sad to see though.

Another Halestorm rec for you: Heart of Novocaine. It's an acoustic track and there's a live studio session of the band performing it a little over a year ago. No post production, just instruments and vocals, and Lzzy brings the thunder. From the low notes to the high belts, clean singing at the start to that hard Lzzy grit. And lots of close ups to see what her mouth and neck are doing. Great track for really analyzing her vocal work in action. And just a great track in general

Lizzy is just badasss... That voice is beyond belief and I think she's very deliberate in how she drives her punches. Her power and emotion comes through as if she's uncovering just a portion. There's definitely more to come. I love listening to her, would really love to sing a duet with her(in my dreams)....lol Thanks for covering her. I also thoroughly enjoyed your coverage of Cash's "Hurt".... That song, as well this song, speaks to my emotions...........a lot.

I've had the absolute pleasure of seeing Halestorm play 5 times now. I believe the first show I went to was 2012. And holy moly... They slay it every. single. time. They sound almost exactly the same as on their albums... her "belts", "screams", "high notes" (not sure of the correct term) that she sings live are so much better live and in person. Maybe it's because I admire her so much and have since the day I found out about Halestorm. It just hits different live and in such a beautiful and powerful way. Not to mention Lzzy, Arejay, Joe, and Josh are super duper kind and humble and such sweet humans. I have a signed poster from them hanging up in my room. It's my most cherished possession 😂🖤🤘

Saw Halestorm for the third time last Friday and they just keep getting better. Just for fun I took a noise meter and I miss the misery was in the mid 90 dB (A) range but that ‘hurt’ Elizabeth mentioned took the peak level up to 106.6dD (A)! Lzzy has one powerful voice. By the way they supported Alter Bridge and Myles is also an amazing singer.

I saw Halestorm live at Summerfest in Milwaukee years ago before they became a well known band. I think they only had one single out at that time. They were opening for the headliner at that stage. Lzzy is honestly one of the best vocalists around these days, and her guitar definitely places her with the gods. What's even better is her mainstream appeal. She's guested with acts across the spectrum, from Lindsey Stirling to Eric Church to MGK to In This Moment. She does ballads and hard-driving rock and everything in between. This is a once-in-a-generation talent and a true successor to Lita Ford and Joan Jett.
