+MakeupDiva I was absolutely disgusted when they kicked her off! I stopped watching Idol after that. I couldn't respect it. Though I am watching the final season. You can tell Ryan Seacrest adored her. I always thought Lopez didn't like her. Her foot is in her mouth though! When Haley made an appearance recently on Idol, JLo had to explain to everyone just how good Haley is, and that everyone thought she was going to win back in the day. She sure didn't treat Haley like that at the time though.

savagesonofa She doesn't create mass appeal songs. She frequently sings (extremely well) in a style that isn't in style at the moment, and her songs aren't particularly radio-friendly. She has extraordinary vocal talent, and that is her strength. The fact that the main version of this cover went viral and now has over five million views is testament that she can attain at least a modicum of success without becoming a mainstream artist when she really puts her heart into a song. But, I don't know if she could be a mainstream pop star even if she wanted to. The process of toning her down and making her mass appeal strips away the part of her performance that makes her amazing in the first place. We will just have to wait and find out if she can stage a come back with amazing vocal performances like this.

Peter Daines no. the reason is simple. Take a good hear of her album, it's not nearly as good to make her voice blast like showed in this video. The songs are really not represent what Haley is. She has awesome voice, but don't know who decided the song choice.

She doesn't have to go pop in order to be more well known or popular... there are other jazzy ladies out there, like Katie Melua or Melody Gardot that have albums (really good albums!) and concerts and don't have to compromise, as there is a niche for that kind of thing. savagesonofa in my opinion, she is a jazz singer. She is great at anything she sings, but her immense strength lies in jazz singing. Problem is, she hasn't capitalized yet. She sings all sorts of music at the moment which doesn't help the publicity as she isn't genre-specific. When she starts making jazz albums she could put jazz in the spotlight again after all these years. She has the potential to be the next Billy Holiday no question, but she has to focus on it.

Small stage, though someone should have noticed that during sound check. With that said, a good guitar player knows how to play softly when needed. He's young, he'll get it.

Agreed with elijah. A good experienced guitar player knows when to play softly. (Young doesn’t have anything to do with it I’m 21 i learned what I’m about to say when I was 10 lol) Not saying he’s not good at all and yeah he’s having fun for sure it’s just man for that song specifically and her voice Ide definitely play way more softly less strumming, a lot of arpeggios, and especially messing with lots of chords in between. But that strumming just honestly does not go well.

I'll tell you guys right now, Haley Reinhart is absolutely one THE BEST contestants to ever walk on the American Idol stage! I've never in my life voted for anyone on American Idol... EXCEPT HALEY! And when I say I voted for her, I mean I VOTED for her, like 250 times a night. No exaggeration. Her voice and creativity wasn't fully appreciated during her time on the show, but I'm proud and happy that she's gone on to make some killer songs and she deserves much success. Support real talent. My mom was a huge fan of Haley and for good reason........ When Haley was on American Idol my mother had it recorded on DVR no one could come to the house without her insisting then listen to Haley. It wasn't until after my past (this past Mrach) that I truly listened after seeing he play Creep. It funny my father had but Haley's CD and had it in my mother's car all the time and I did enjoy it whenever I drove my mom to chemo. Haley has an amazing voice and is extremely beautiful aside from those enjoyment, listening gives me a piece of my mother to remember every time. I look forward to hearing and seeing so much more from her. Her and all the new artists she performs with and works with. Much love to you Haley

Rachel Calderon, thanksfor this great quality recording of a great version. The trouble with Haley is you have to find and listen to every version she ever does because they're all different in varying degrees, and you don't want to miss out. This is another example, another superb version with quite a lot of differences from her classic PMJ video recording of it. I think that this is probably my favourite. I'd better add, before a hurricane of Haliens vent their wrath upon me, that I'm only joking, and I'm praising her really. I actually think it's really great that she does this.
