i was so confused about concealer shades. i bought a shade too dark for me and the next one i bought was too light, but i just mix the shades together to get the shade that matches me and i found that using a color corrector also helps hide the bags and grayness and the finger mixing technique definitely helps too!!!!!

I have been doing makeup for a very long time but I have never tried Concealer or Foundation or anything, my skin is fairly good, but recently I picked up a concealer to cover under eye bags and I had zero idea how to use it, I used way way too much my first attempt I kind of looked like when royals used to powder their face bright bright white haha. Yes! There is a difference between applying makeup for being in front of a camera and recording for videos vs applying makeup for everyday life which is why makeup applications you see done on on TikTok or even on YT will rarely look great when you try it on yourself at home and then walk outside.

When i had active acne with big pimples, I would actually use a slightly lighter shade concealer on the underside of the pimple. That counteracts the shadow the pimple is creating and makes it stand out way less.

Blending the concealer on the back of your hand/palette and applying it with your fingertips helped me finish my makeup so smoothly and not cakey! Just wanna say that I bought the fillimilli brush you recommended in your prev video (and the one you showed here). By far, one of my fave brushes 😭 My under eye area looks so smooth and I was able to cover the pores on my nose. The brush feels so good!! Even the weight lol as soon as I held it, I was stunned. "Oh, yeah, this is how a proper brush is supposed to weigh" 😂 Sounds ridiculous but that's how I honestly felt lmao

As a Mua I totally hate the western trend of heavy concealer in the center of the face to brighten the look. The look i sooo weird to me (sorry😅) I love the thai makeup techniques! If u have dark circles, apply color peach corrector and then your actual concealer. But if u dont have dark circles, then you dont have to use peach corrector

​​@@royal3161 i second this! you don't have to use a peachy concealer if you don't have dark circles on all. but if you have minimal discoloration, then feel free to use it on its own. it might look a little peachy though. for heavier discoloration, you'll need to use both the corrector + concealer.

I use peach color corrector. It does a better job than the orange corrector I used previously, but I'm having trouble with it blending in with my concealer. Not sure how you're supposed to keep that from happening.

He is really different than others MUA in ky country and beauty gurus that apply lot lot lot foundation and very full makeup looks. Can I use full coverage foundation in place of concealer with these techniques for a second skin look? My skin is mostly ok with some minor blemishes depending on the day. I always find foundation too heavy on my skin and I go out mostly with just my skin and sunscreen. Even if I do makeup, I’d just do a basic eye and lipstick. But I’d like to have flawless skin on some days too. Since I haven’t even touched foundation, I haven’t even gone into looking into concealers. I can’t imagine how much heavier concealer might feel. Should I go out to buy foundation again just to try this out? Or ditch foundations entirely and only look at concealers?

not necessarily primer but always use moisturizer or serum before makeup, if not makeup will look cakey and crack overtime

moisturize the area before applying, then use hands/brush to apply concealer/foundation and dab the excess off with a makeup sponge

i don't do the trending concealer trick anymore before influenced by 2015 influencers 💓 i only put a small amount on where the dark circles are, avoiding the part where there isn't any discoloration since it doesn't need any concealing. been doing this for a year since i started working and my base has never been better! no more excess product that doesn't cover anything.

Your tips are so great and I swear by many of them! I'm scared of using that concealer that dries out on the bottle though, because... Idk, it's been periodically exposed for so long I don't trust its safety, plus mine looks kinda clumpy by now, which makes me think the consistency might not always be the most uniform. Anyway, that's probably who I got the idea from that higher coverage concealer = less product = more natural look lol couldn't remember at first but I know that made sense immediately once I heard it, and now my under eye creasing is much more manageable.

I'm not sure why she didn't talk about this, but for dark circles if its in a browner shade use orange/peach color correcting concealer before applying a shade that matches your skin, it's in a reddish dark circle use green first

I have a question! For this line technique 04:56, when the purpose is to hide hollow lines, would one of those concealers with reflective particles help? I got recommended one of those to hide my dark circles, which obviously didn't work because it didn't really hide the darkness underneath, and became ashy. But to "lift shadows" in specific lines, I think it makes sense 🤔 maybe even for those nasolabial folder lines?

I feel like since its reflective/shiny, under different lighting it may be more obvious that the texture in that area is not even. imo using something that does not have the reflective particles make it less obvious

@@kasey_068 True that light reflexion amplifies irregular texture, but here the idea would be to lighten dark areas, not irregular ones. I'm not sure, but as far as I understood, the "light reflective properties" of the product weren't shimmer. So i assume it would lighten up the area without making it actually lighter than the original skin tone, or shinier than the rest of the skin, or shimmery
