I'm going to try this with a blanket I'm fixing to start. I think it will give it a nice clean edge. I also appreciated the fact you got straight to the point on the stitch. Thank you

oh my goodness thank you for the clear instructions - i watched four other videos and nobody else explained "go into the bottom of the last stitch"- I was so confused before you explained it like that - thank you thank you! happy crocheting :-)

Nice video! I've watched umpteen videos on half double crochet, now I don't know why, but the other videos show only chain 2 then next steps are just like yours- I can't figure that out🤷‍♀️

This might be a silly question but how do you flip or turn it after the initial foundation chain. Do you chain one and turn? Chain 2?

This is a great brief tutorial straight to the point. I'm able to tolerate the background music volume in this video (as it lasts only a couple of minutes) but I'm getting allergic to this particular piece of music which seems to be used in every other crochet tutorial. Anyway, thanks a lot :)

Simple & clear tutorial however chainless foundation seems good for one row only not suitable if you require multiple rows...

Yes, this technique is only needed to create the first row. After that you can work into it with normal half double crochets to create additional rows.
