This is a great brief tutorial straight to the point. I'm able to tolerate the background music volume in this video (as it lasts only a couple of minutes) but I'm getting allergic to this particular piece of music which seems to be used in every other crochet tutorial. Anyway, thanks a lot :)

Simple & clear tutorial however chainless foundation seems good for one row only not suitable if you require multiple rows...

Yes, this technique is only needed to create the first row. After that you can work into it with normal half double crochets to create additional rows.
