I went through several videos trying to figure this out and failed every time until I found your video. It made it so easy to process. Thank you!

what helps me is using the helping hands tool and string all the closed rings to a string or wire, then loop the open rings through the closed ones.

Dude. I’ve watched SO many videos. You made it super simple and I got it the first time!!! Now I’m cooking with grease! Thank you so much! ❤

You explain things in the most simple terms, but I’m not left handed so I was having a hard time since I’m a visual learner. I screen recorded the video and mirror flipped it in my gallery, then I was able to get the visual I needed to get it done :b thank you for explaining so thoroughly and I’m glad left handed people can get the visual with your videos, you’re the only one I’ve seen work weaves from right to left!

I have had SUCH a hard time with this weave, in part because I’m a lefty. Your video makes it SO. CLEAR. Thank you so much!!!

If you slow this vid to half speed and really watch what direction those rings are lying in, at 0.31 seconds, and make sure your blue jump ring is opened backwards, like the demo, it works a dream. As I'm working in all silver, I oxidised the open silver rings to make 'blue' ones. This worked really well.

thanks for the video it is AWESOME! I have been trying to get it made for a while. my problem was I would hold the rings in my hand in stead of laying the rings on the table.

So I’m following the directions exactly as done. However it won’t sit right and loses its shape in a way that makes it hard to get the pattern back. Is there any tips on how to deal with this?

It looks like you are going down the 4th ring not 3rd. the 3rd ring is blue, right? The ring your going down is silver. Can some help me with this confusion

Hello. Nice weave, I like to try it but what size rings I should use. Have a great day and thank you for the tutorial.
@cymond3 жыл бұрын
"size" is less important than "aspect ratio". AR is a ratio between ring size and ring thickness. According to the internet, you want an AR between 5 and 6.5. Any chainmail supply store online will tell you the AR of the rings you're buying.

Love it! I know 'saw cut' jump rings are better to use, do you purchase them already made? if so where is the best? I'm looking for sterling silver
@timshaw82048 жыл бұрын
For silver especially, it's worth getting saw cut rings online. Personally I like to order from metaldesingz.com, good service and pricing in CDN Dollars so if you're in the US you'll save big.

is there a way you can make it so you can link the two ends together without using a hook?
@thedrunkengamerx4 жыл бұрын
With it being a repeating pattern I'm sure there is a way, but it might be difficult. It could involve reopening some of the closed rings (which in my experience can go downhill quickly). But I've never tried it with this pattern, so who knows.

Hi, nice work! You said that the bracelet is 20 gauge 5/32? What AR range is possible for making this weave? I've tried it with some rings I got from Hobby Lobby, which I calculated to have an AR of 3.7 no can do lol.
@williambailey7154 жыл бұрын
Long time ago but in case anyone else like me who is starting out wants the answer the AR from 20 gauge 5/32 is 4.9 as 20 gauge is 0.81mm wire and 5/32 is a 4mm mandrel giving the 4mm ID with a 5.62mm OD or there about's
