Awesome first time Halibut from a yak!! I discovered a technique for bleeding a halibut many years ago that works incredibly well. Do not cut the gills. Use a serrated knife to cut through the spine near the tail fin. Leave the remaining uncut portion intact in case you need to verify the legal length. Put on a stringer and watch the blood flow out much better than any other technique I have seen. When you fillet the fish later there will be no blood in the fillets . This makes the fish taste better and keep longer. I hope you give it a try.

It would be cool if you put a quick gear rundown on the screen for each rig you use in your vids: rod, reel, line, tackle. Even if it just showed on screen for a few seconds when you first start using it, us noobs could pause it and read it. I'd also like to see a vid on how you have your Outback set up.
@DieHardFishing6 жыл бұрын
I do try to go over the rigs I am using in my newer vids. Hopefully that helps! But I have not gone over my kayak setup so I will try to do that in an upcoming video. Thanks for the suggestion!
