Dvorak; Rusalka, Song to the Moon. (Rusalka is "the little mermaid" & this song ranks w/ Nessun Dorma). It took me a long time to hear It & not absolutely blubber w/ tears. SOOOO gorgeous! Has to be well sung, & I don't recommend getting the entire score. The mad woman who wants her voice is horrible stuff & there's a lot of it.

This takes me back twenty odd years. My late husband and I were flying form Johannesburg to Germany via Windhoek. Due to the day's layover, we rented a car and drove into the city. Late in the afternoon we had an early supper before returning to the airport. We sat in an open air cafe for a light supper before going back to the airport. They were playing Opera without Words, their playlist was based on all the operas that were being performed around the world during that particular week. We even received a program. Sitting under tall palms and and twinkling stars, listening to birds twittering, returning to roost there for the night, was pure magic.

I missed my Met Opera in cinema, the feeling of being there and having the best seat. Pandemic took that joy away, but thanks to Halidonic I can enjoy opera still. I can recollect my experiences at La Scala, Vienna Staats Opera and Bolshoi. Thank you

I have already listened to this twice. What a great collection! Even though I love human voice, and where else to hear it if not in opera, but all these arias are made to sound so much softer and more delicate because of the use of instruments alone. Very enjoyable! Thank you.

Having lived around the world, and my mom having been a violinist I have a deep love for Opera. I’ve been to Tosca, Aida, La Boheme, Magic Flute, and my favorite, Madam Butterfly. I’ve also been to Aida(Elton John & Time Rice), Rent, Les Miz, and Phantom of the Opera.

And it’s hard to remember them all since I’ve been to so many. But, to be fair, my mother did play second violin in orchestras every we’ve lived for at least a year.
