Ok so I’m completely obsessed with this cover. I honestly didn’t recognize the song. Once it’s stripped and slowed its an absolutely beautiful song. Maybe not so much as far as lyrics, but the progressions are beautiful. The scene is well executed, and honestly couldn’t see a better song to represent the whole premise of the movie. Beautiful cover.

I'm a second degree black belt in KZbin. I also happen to be a self-taught guitar player. It never occurred to me to watch a video like yours. I can't tell you how many pieces came together for me about music theory watching this video. It was a revelation for me. My mind was blown in music theory makes so much more sense to me now. Actually seeing the sheet music with the piano keys and the lines coming down the screen that also contain the time ...just put it together for me. I have never seen a better way to teach music.. thank you sincerely

I will try. For some one who is not able to instantly identify the length of the note by the sheet music can relate the note they see when the colored bar that also indicates length of note making a better mental correlational and imprint adding the extra visual and association . In addition note recognition by the extra visual of the keys identified . The other thing I got from it was watching the left hand chord structure while the right hand run scales. much Like playing rhythm or lead on a guitar but both at the same time. also the fact the key on the piano are laid out in order unlike the guitar, octaves and the keys and transposing spaces or steps are easier to recognize. Its the amount of reinforcement of different ways that I see it all visually simultaneously make it easier to grasp and correlate from a novice perspective.

Amazing Tutorial !!! Wonderful version of this song that I already knew from the 80s. But I was enchanted by the romantic version performed in the film No Hard Feelings. I'm in love with this version played by actor Andrew Barth. Thank you for providing us with the way to play it on the piano.

Great transcription man, you gave me a first base to understand this piece. But by playing over the one in the movie I found that the bass was a bit different from your version in the end of a verse (here for example 1:11) -> It should go from E to F#, then to D and finally to G#, or something really close to it, let’s try it would sound much better this way 🤩 Bonus: I think the EMaj7 in the first place should be more a EMaj7/C# 😉

I want you to know that my older brother got the tape for Christmas when it first came out and I could not stand this song and the other day we were driving in my car, my son and I and he was playing it on the radio when I told him please turn this song off I can’t stand this song reminds me of when I was hearing the song over and over again. But then somehow I heard this song this version of it and it absolutely fell in love with it and I downloaded the sheet music and started watching your tutorial and the song is like brand new and beautiful and now I love it. ❤ an 80’s masterpiece
