A true masterpiece. I hope that Hallatar put out another recording soon. Of all the rock, metal bands I've loved over the last 43 years ( I'm 57) this genre of medolic doom is something I never thought I would get into. It is now the only music I download and listen to, with the exception of the mighty Amorphis. A whirlwind of magical lyrics and awesome musicianship have created something very special to me and everyone else who loves this song, album, genre. Rock On

If i got this correctly this was a project or the guitarst of swallow the sun and his wife Aleah Stanbridge who died of cancer. I think he won't replace her. You can try Swallow the Sun, Trees of Eternity (the same female singer as Hallatar), Draconian, theatre of Tragedy(they are more gothic), Insomnium, Agaloch, Tristania, Veil of Secrets, Enter and The Dance by Within Temptation, The sins of thy beloved, Opeth(even if they are progresive death metal, they have very melancholic and slow albums/songs. Windowpane, the lotus eater, face of melinda, in my time of need)

Hi! Not sure if you know this but Hallatar, unfortunately, won’t release anymore music. Tomi took Aleah’s poems and turned them in to songs. This project was made as a tribute to her. It’s similar to how ToE won’t release anymore due to our nightingales passing. I’m just happy that we got another Avenue to listen to her material. Albeit two, one from Hallatar and her solo record ❤

All those who want Trees of Eternity with Heike, I think Juha would never, not for even a Second, consider to revive ToE cause it IS Aleahs Project and hers alone. That would be rather disrespecting towards Aleah in my opinion. That is why he founded Hallatar, as a Tribute for Aleah, since those are her Lyrics, Tomi and Heike are singing

This song is simply amazing. Melts me everytime. The sweetness of the beggining, followed by the silkyness of Heike's voice, that swings us confortably at the beggining, then suddenly breaken by Tomi's intense growl and that crying and trembling guitar in the background that shakes and agitates us inside. Seduction followed by conquering. The more I listen to this, the more I love it. Beautiful in all dimension. Even more when played with my fingers in my guitar.

I am a fan of Heike Langhans, one day while browsing on Spotify, I discovered the song My Requim. After listening to it for days, I learned that it was Aleah's song. Later, the Hallatar band was formed in her memory and I witnessed Heike Langhans accompanying the song My Mistake. I really didn't know what to say. I looked at the empty wall. Rest in peace, Aleah.

This may be the most heartwrenching thing I think I've seen... in that the depiction of such visceral connection to the loss itself. The very body language individually portrayed by each. those outright primal forces to. Escalating. Everything that was suffered. Juha... goddamn he rips that up like he's playing for his soul (even if it's just a video but that's half my point ~ not fucking actors). If you've followed the story then... one could relate to the painful similarities or parallels maybe one can find salvation the light and grace of what they've given... often in grief is the way having been lost. I did not cry a tear for nearly 20 plus years. Just couldn't..even when my girlfriend died..it was the worst pressure inside. lives shattered. People say you should not listen. My heart is made less heavy by this. And Identifying as it evolves I learn. We work our way through. And now I am able. Just such absolutely vulnerably raw and awesome power driven to the surface I'm fucking floored. Thank you for your art.
