Why argue on the internet when you can look it up yourself before posting an ignorant comment. Eskimo is a broad term for indigenous people living in parts of the circumpolar region or north-pole area. Inuits and Yupiks are the two main groups referred to as eskimos. It's not offensive. It's not based on skin color. It's not derogatory.

That's how I see the Inuit situation as well. Now if someone is knowingly using it in a derogatory way along with other language that would suggest so, then yes it can be racist.
